We’re Running a VPS server with windows server 2019 Datacentre. We have also installed a dedicated elastic gpu from amazon to support heavy processing. But still OBS uses up to 95% of cpu and seems to be very laggy! We only use limited sources.

Very recently, I've had an issue with OBS where video playback (YouTube/Twitch) lags while the program is open. I don't even need to be streaming/recording for this issue to occur--just having it open will do the trick. This is a fairly recent issue and with the specs on my system, I don't see...
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
This problem has been reported countless times: OBS says "Warning: High encoding CPU usage" yet the CPU usage percentage is comparatively low. I've been seeking for a solution for months (without reducing the output quality!) and finally I managed to fix it...
I am unable to run a smooth 720p30fps stream even though I recently built a PC dedicated solely to streaming. I am running an Intel i5-8400 CPU, 8GB of RAM (hoping to upgrade to 16 GB soon), a 500GB SSD boot drive, and an external Elgato capture card. I use the very fast x264 preset, and the...
Recently, I updated my graphics card adapter. I then started maxing my CPU when recording or streaming with OBS. I never had these problems before, so I rolled back to the previous version, yet I am still having these problems. I have not changed any settings in OBS. Any ideas as to what could...
Hi all. I'm not the best when it comes to the technical aspects of computers, but I really want to give streaming a go. I've been trying countless methods to speed up my computer to stream. I followed the posted guide, and even tried this method to use my laptop to help carry the weight of...
Yesterday I completely reset my PC using the reset option in the control panel. Before I did this, I was able to and had been streaming and recording using OBS and OBS Streamlabs. But now, after I wiped almost everything, when I'm not even streaming, I just have the OBS tab open, it tells me I'm...

I recently wiped my computer due to some security issues, and since then have had many complications with streaming. I can run games at usual FPS on maximum settings when I am not streaming, but as soon as stream starts, games such as Fortnite...
I dropped the video output to 1280x720 -- this improved the situation a lot.
I then changed the downscale filter to Lanczos (it was Bilinear) -- this made little difference.
My rate control is CRF 15, and I moved the CPU to veryfast.
Would adding memory help...
I'm using OBS to record videos on Chrome for more than 4 months, every day, about 2 recording per day with approximately 2 hours each recording. Everything was fine, but all of a sudden the program started to consume too much CPU and GPU and show the message Enconding Overloaded. I followed...
