Lower Thirds are also four fields, but all four fields share a single database; which is why they can be swapped around.

As for dynamic tabs; thats not really possible. The databases and field profiles have to be created on load, and cant be created on the fly.

Sorry to hear about no dynamic tabs. Maybe you could make just one new tab type, a new Image Select Tab with 8 selectable image slots, since Smash4 will benefit from it's new "8-player smash" gamemode, Pleeeease! =)

This is a bit in-depth, but it would be cool if this program could pull all the player tags from Challonge brackets and add them to the versus player.txt input file.

By the way, great program and I can't wait for more features.

Also I found a feature that was used this year by VGBC at APEX 2015 that you might want to look into adding in the future: A Challonge bracket results ticker.

They had results of previous matches in a ticker on the bottom of the stream, it was manually inputted and updated (which is a pain), but someone on Reddit figured out how to automatically pull match results from a challonge bracket link into a text file which was used in a ticker.

One of these days, I will redo the tutorial videos... someone needs to keep bugging me about it so I get around to it...
  • Added an EIGHT image version of the Image Select tab. This was a highly requested option (well actually, a 5 image version was most requested (for League of Legends), but 8 works best for Smash Bros). However, due to the amount of space required for the 8 image version; the "swap" buttons are not included in this specific tab.

Oh... in case you guys are wondering on how "sales" of this program are working out since I started doing this "pay what you wish pricing model"...

When this program was still called "XSplit Panel Writer", I was selling it for $10 a copy. I sold 109 copies; which means I made a total of $1090 off the program.

When I renamed it to "Scoreboard Assistant", I decided to sell it using the "pay what you wish" pricing model; with a minimum of $0.01 per sale. Well since then, the average price for each copy sold is $0.16... and I've sold 721 copies. So I've made about $115.

This program is a work of passion, not of money.

Really sorry to hear that. It’s sad that the pay-what-you-want system isn’t working out for you because of people’s greed. I’ll check how much I paid, if it was less than 15$, I’ll send you some more to meat at least that amount. It’s a great program and you deserve more than 0.16$ per copy.

I think I found a bug in the current version.
When trying to login into twitch, Scoreboard Assistant stops (not responding)...
How can I fix that?

Is it possible to change the output path?

You'd be surprised... but this is actually BY DESIGN. While the majority of timed (every 60 seconds) commands are run asynchronously to prevent the program freezing up, the login system is very deliberate. When you try to login to twitch, the login system will hold the program hostage until it manages to retrieve it's proper credentials.

Sadly, the Twitch API is... well... shit. It often fails to receive a session grant and failure won't be sent for 15 seconds. So a failed login will hold the program hostage for up to 15 seconds, before it fails and lets you use it again.

Also, there is no way to change the output path at the moment.

I think the Challonge feature may be bugged. I have it outputting to a text file so I can use it with OBS. Now the problem is that it always says "Player A 'defeats' Player B". That's fine, but the score coming afterwards doesn't always have the larger number first. So if Player A had 0 wins, and Player B had 2, it would say "Player B defeats Player A (0-2)"

Loving the 8-Image Select tab. And when I was trying to stream 8-player smash. I realized I didn't ask about an 8-player scoreboard, is that possible in a future update? (even if you have to remove the swapping feature like for 8-image select.)

The Challonge integration is great! Thanks so much! I noticed a small bug where a Challonge tab text config will default back to "XML-only" after being set to "text". This seems to happen on program restart.

The Spotify issue stinks cause I use it often, but thanks for the heads up.

Whenever I try to log into Twitch the program crashes although I got to fill in the information once. It says when starting, "Unable to Load Configuration file. Launching with Generic Scoreboard."
