obs-midi-mg 3.1.5

Hello, and thanks for posting feedback!

The "Hold Time" exists because of a limitation with older versions of OBS Studio. The T-Bar used to only work programmatically if it was "released" - as if the mouse had let go of it physically. This has since changed it seems, and the plugin has not been updated to accommodate that. A fix is coming soon.
Thanks for the reply.
I'm waiting for the plugin change. If you need a test user, I'll be happy to help.

nhielost updated obs-midi-mg with a new update entry:

obs-midi-mg v3.1.5

obs-midi-mg v3.1.5 is now available.

This is a bugfix release.

Changes:

  • Change execution of Bindings to use faster and more efficient design using thread pooling
  • The Field editor message is now more clear to indicate what it actually does
  • Reference Fields will now default to Velocity (or equivalent) upon creation
  • Transition Bar actions can now ignore the Hold Time parameter to allow for persistent scene transitions (OBS forum)...

Huge thanks for the 3.1.5 update! Being able to ignore the Hold Time parameter for the T-Bar is exactly what was missing. Previously, it was impossible to park the fader halfway for a scene overlay because it would just auto-complete the transition. Now it actually behaves like a proper video switcher. Great work!

Unfortunately, even after updating the plugin, the hold time parameter continues to work.
I tried setting it to 10 and 5000, but I still get the same effect.
After the hold time expires, the PGM switches back.
I haven't updated OBS to 32.1 yet;
I'm still using 32.0.4.

At first I was unsure how to disable the hold time then I realized it's just a matter of disabling midi input to it (see images).

Okay, I disabled the "Hold Time" parameter.
The jump after n seconds is no longer there, but unfortunately the slide still doesn't work properly.
The first time I use the slider, the transition happens correctly, the PGM font switches to Pre-View.
If I repeat the operation, nothing happens.
Now, if I make the transition with the on-screen button, the source in Pre-View switches to PGM, but the one that was in PGM doesn't switch to Pre-View.
I have no idea if it's an OBS issue or a plugin issue.
