I will pay you if you fix my microstutters when recording, not in game.

Nice! You're on it now. Just remember rendering lag means your GPU is overloaded. Dial back the game settings if you get any of it.

Switch to Game Capture & delete that monitor capture while your at it.
To be honest, i didn't even know it all was due to rendering lag
Also i think that the main problem was in the Nvidia settings, as soon as i changed them to yours it all was buttersmooth.
But that could depend on the situation i suppose.
I will definitely change to Game Capture, must set up OBS anyways with the mic and maybe a cam and stuff.
Tomorrow / this weekend i will test more and report more here.

I learned a lot from you @rockbottom !
I badly wanted to quit everything streaming and Youtube related but luckily you replied to more people and
luckily i picked up reading this thread again.
It is maybe a small thing to you but a big thing to people with problems like me here.

YW!

No doubt, best to let that video move as fast as possible through the GPU. Some of those settings can add significant processing time.

Make a duplicate profile & test in the dupe.

I am sorry, i don't understand the last sentence.
I should make a duplicate profile in OBS, and then...

I am Dutch, and Google Translate did not translate the word dupe.

Yes, make the duplicate so you can make changes & not worry about things going off the tracks. If they do, just delete the duplicate & start over from the working profile.

Thanx, after a night of sleep i get the word dupe, it is duplicate.
It was a misinterpretation.
I surely will try in different settings, however i an pretty satisfied with how they are now :-)

Update:

Today,
- i connected my Twitch account to OBS.
- I connected my Mic to PC and OBS scene.
- Installed Discord.
Started playing Skyrim / PUBG, and back is the exact same stutter issue.
Uninstalled everything so everything is how it was when it DID work smooth, still stutter.
Unplugged the mic from USB while in game and in OBS, stutter is GONE.
Quit Skyrim and OBS, plugged the mic back in and restarted OBS and Skyrim.
No stutter, buttersmooth preview.

I am really losing my mind here...

Try plugging the mic into a different USB port/header. See if it helps. Could be a bad cable or driver & it may require some troubleshooting if it persists.

Seems like indeed the stutter comes in sync with the audio buffering...
First 2-3 mins are smooth, then stutter comes in, still the same issue so.

The log looks OK.

If there's no overloading still going on, then something else is possibly causing that lag. Backround apps running, driver, ect. The 2-3 minutes smooth & then it tanks for no reason, yeah, that's not good.

Your use of filters seems to be at least part of the problem. No filters, no lag. You changed the set-up from yesterday & then experienced trouble.

Thanx for looking into it again! :-)
I experience the same when i remove the mic including filters, unplugged it from usb and when i remove the audio limiter filter.
It's sharp from you, but i don't think that's the problem.

What i do know for sure now is that when lag/stutter comes, it pairs with audio buffering issues.

If you have your GPU connected to a TV or another processor via HDMI, try capturing the audio from it instead of your "Main Audio". This is the output that I use as an input to OBS.

I feel even weirder now i did a comparison:

Booted PC, opened obs.

1st log, skyrim. no stutter, buttersmooth preview, no audio buffering max level (only 42 millisec) or skipped frames / lagged frames.

Closed OBS and restarted OBS.

2nd log, forza motorsport. bad lag, a lot of stutter, no audio buffering max level (only 42 millisec) or skipped frames / lagged frames.

Closed OBS and restarted OBS.

3th log, PUBG. bad lag, a lot of stutter, no audio buffering max level (only 42 millisec) or skipped frames / lagged frames

I mean i could upload all 3 the logs, but this is the only "new" information we get i guess.
It's a shame that this website does not let me upload more that 15k characters, because usually that's in a log.

This is all i get in Audio in OBS.
The Logitech G935 is wireless and connected with a USB dongle on the mobo.
The LG Ultragear is my main gaming monitor and is connected through DP.
The BY-PM700 is my seperate streaming mic, therefore i don't quite understand why it's in here.
The second monitor is connected through HDMI and has no speakers, OBS behaves the same with this monitor unplugged.

So the last sentence here is NOT TRUE, i just discovered today.

If you're still lagging it might be time to check the support page for your mobo & see if updated drivers are available.
