Hi
@Gaines ,
I use NVIDIA Maxine myself. Not the broadcast tool, but one of the sample programs that comes with the SDK. II make use of it with a window capture to get it into OBS.
Love the eye contact thing too. And yet: so wrong of nvdida's broadcast (or Teams for that matter, who knows...) if they screw around with cam settings.
So: your
use case is understood. Simplest way for me to make your suggestion come true is to add a timer function to CamooZ - whatever profile has AUTOLOAD status is to reload every 200msec or so...
I will have to program it, and then play with that a little to see that performance is not impacted. Maybe do it only once per second or give user control over the interval altogether...
Traveling this weekend, so I'll get to it next week and post here once 7.4.0 is ready ;-)
Btw:
"
Refresh cams on USB event" does what it says: if you have say 3 cameras and remove one from your PC, CamooZ will detect that and re-read all available cams.
"
Tracking" affects how I react on movement of sliders: if ON, then changes occur as soon as the slider moves, if OFF then change occurs only when mouse is released. ( I made that for older PCs that have less CPU power)
Up to now CamooZ does no automatic overrides - but it will soon have that option.
Also: if you want to see exactly who screws with your cam: click the monitoring function in CamooZ, then start nvidia broadcast and see what happens...after start Teams...you will see the sliders in CamooZ change, as it reads current cam settings every 100msec.
Thanks for the idea
Cheers
Falti
