Hello,
The app is very good but I have a problem.
Every 10\15 min the setting come back to original and I need to close and open again Camooz in order to load again the profile.
How is it possible to solve this problem?
I also tried to use the "force" option, it's work but it crash after 1h.
I have the full version.

Thank you for who will help me!
Regards
Federico
Hi Federico,

it looks like some other app is fiddling with your cam settings. What it running there?

yes everything autostarts, I fixed one of the issues the USB cam showing first, i dissabled it, was a duplicate driver now my EMEET cam is first, but even then, autostarting and loading my profile automatically, when i open camooz it all looks good, but it doesent actually apply it until i hit the refresh button or click in and out of the profile. I am using nvidia broadcast, i even tried to setup a scheduler to start camooze 1 min after start incase nvdiia broadcast started after and it didnt hit it...but still no dice. A setting to refresh or something auto after a certain time would maybe fix this

Two problems:

1. The installer automatically runs as administrator, meaning start menu shortcuts get put in the administrator account's start menu. So, they are missing if you run the installer while logged in as a normal user. For the same reason, if you enable auto-start on login after ticking "run CamooZ" when the installer finishes, those settings are saved for the admin account, and on next logon on the normal user, the program won't automatically start. This must be fixable as I've not noticed this issue on other installers that require admin rights.

2. Would it be possible to get an option to make the GUI big please? It feels a bit small/cramped compared to other applications. If you are able to have a "Big UI" toggle that makes it 2x, that would be great. See the "big UI" option in this program for an example of how it can be done even when using native windows controls: https://github.com/ExeinfoASL/ASL

As a bonus, it would be great if we could get a WinGet and/or Chocolatey package for seamless, automated updates. Thanks!

Thanks for the software nevertheless!

Found another problem relating to point 1. Even if you fully quit CamtooZ then run it normally while logged in as non-admin user, WITHOUT run as admin, then tick "start with windows"... it will still forget settings, as it is trying to read admin user settings after being installed as admin.

Hey sjain,

thanks for your very constructive feedback. I admit I use a standard installer and did not think about it too much. Will look into it, same as with a UI 2x mod.

Have you tried manually installing it, just placing the exe into a folder of your choosing? If so: any difference?

Thanks, yes that works fine. Perhaps its better if the installer offers per-user installation, where the program is installed to a directory in AppData, meaning admin rights are not necessarily required (therefore, no issues making start menu shortcuts). Not 100% sure but I think this is what most programs do to avoid this issue.

As for the example I linked, apologies but I forgot that its not actually open source. It was also made in Delphi, so not sure of the relevance to what you're using for the UI. I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out though :)
