There's one thing that might give me a clue (note the might). Do what you're supposed to do with the groovemarklet, open the console (right click -> inspect element -> Console) and take a picture/copy whatever is in there (if anything).

I inspect element in the video as well and the groovemarklet shows up.
Edit* Careful 8tracks gets loud might want to turn it down a bit before loading.

Ah yes, what I see is something that's a bit stupid on my part.
The problem is that it takes about 4-5 seconds before it changes the title initially. If you look at your own video, you can even see (look at the tab at 1:45) that it changes.
(it also happens at Pandora in the beginning, but you take the time to click groovemarklet again)
SMG itself scans your windows every 4 seconds if I'm not mistaken. So you just barely missed it, that's the problem.
I'll change that today though, that it'll immediately change the title.

Edit: Yup, I've changed that. (groovemarklet is without notification always 100% up to date)

Ah yea, I see what you are saying. Unfortunately it still does not work for me but at this point I think it might just be something in my PC config. I can make the browser display the song name by using the groovemarklet while in that music menu but then the program no longer recognizes the input.
I can provide a video of this to show what I mean. I really appreciate the help so far :)
I might just switch music providers anyway rdio is proving to be more trouble than it might be worth.

I should poke myself with the stick of stupidity. I just fixed it by changing literally two characters in my code.
The next patch has some other problem to fix before I can bring it out though, so it's not out immediately.

I dont know if im doing it wrong but this doesnt seem to work for me on 8tracks. instead of just pulling the playing song name it gets all the songs in the playlist. This has maybe to do with the not so recent changes of the looks of 8tracks?
