BTW, you can switch back the the Timetec to test it again. Just keep an eye on encoding lag, if you start is see any after some time has passed, it's the drive.

I'm able to record 3 min of footage without pausing. So I use Timetec for short recordings and Intel for longer ones?

If it doesn't start lagging after 3 minutes test it longer. If it doesn't lag at all, use it. Only use the Intel if you absolutely need to.
