OBS Regularly crashes - whats wrong with my setup?

Hi guys,

I'm not sure why my OBS crashes from time to time.
Sometimes I can stream for like 3 hours and everyhting works fine... sometimes I just start OBS and it crashes.
And is it normal, that OBS keeps streaming after a crash? It's kinda nice but weird ^^


Am I doing something wrong? What can I do to prevent the crashes?
Sometimes it crashes when I start the league of legends clien.

Ok, sorry mate, now I get it. I thought logs and crash reports were the same.
Here we have some crash reports:

Thx for the tip. I ran the repair tool and the tool have found some files.

"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them."

Was that a reason for the crashes? What did you see in the crash logs?

The first block in the Crash Report under the header info is labeled (Crashed) That show that was involved in the crash The first like is very likely the cause
In this case, it's mmdevapi.dll ( MultiMedia Device API Library ) Either it or something linked to it had an error or illegal operation or is corrupted
It's part of Windows and heavily linked to other parts of the OS, like the Kernel

If anyone runs into this Thread, I think I fixed the issue.

The mentioned file MMDevAPI.dll was causing the crashes.
The plugin "win audio capture" was the main cause inside OBS.
I deleted all plugin audio sources and it didn't happen again.

@propz That audio capture plugin is quite new and had not matured yet, so it would be nice if you could report that issue to the plugin author. I consider this plugin one of the most useful plugins ever, so the author deserves this support in my opinion.
