Hi Jim and OSB team. Was this fix implemented?
Just an update, the folks at elgato have figured out what the issue is, and will hopefully release a new version at some point after it's gone through QA testing.
It is a problem with the elgato, this is what I have been doing... I tested out my astros a40 stream output into the elgato auxiliary and the audio and video seem to sync up perfectly fine, but that way you also have to set the elgato audio delay to -1500 and the global audio delay to 1500 for it to work. Once I got that synced, I tried using my Webcam that I KNOW is synced to real-time but it did not work. Whenever I use my blue snowball microphone and my Webcam it is perfectly in sync, but the SYNCED AUDIO AND VIDEO of the Elgato is what is going out of sync with my Webcam. Again audio and video of elgato in sync, but used with a Webcam it is out of sync completely. I'm not a noob to this, I know that capture cards have a delay, but the elgato seems to have a delay over time that is causing problems with everyone to sync it properly. How I don't know, it is very bizarre indeed. There is no delay in the beginning, but as time goes on it increasingly becomes more apparent it is out of sync. It's even worse in xsplit for some reason.I also am having the desync problem. Nothing I've tried or anything someone has suggested has helped so far. Any information regarding if it's a problem with the Elgato itself or OBS would be greatly appreciated!
Generally speaking, I think Elgato designed this card to be an all in one solution for recording and streaming and OBS support is more of an afterthought than a well-developed feature.
Hi @flashkubeNot just an afterthought boss. Elgato support told me that 3rd party streaming software is not supported and that I should be using the shit software they bundle with the device. https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...-choose-the-avermedia-u3-instead.21589/unread
Hi @flashkube
My name is Phil, I'm the Community Coordinator at Elgato Gaming, and frequent poster on these and other recording/streaming related forums.
I would like to let you know that what the Elgato support representative has told you is wrong, and I'm sorry for the misinformation. The Elgato Game Capture HD and HD60 can both be used with 3rd party software.
We are also very aware of the ongoing sync issues, and are working to fix them.

Hi guys,
@spyro : To open the Game Capture configuration, you need to have the preview or stream ON. Add the Game Capture HD60 source, then open the configuration.
To everyone else: We just released a new Game Capture beta, for version 2.1, which includes some sync fixes. Please try it out by downloading it here. If you have any feedback, let me know here, or better yet, by emailing your feedback to betatester@elgato.com.
It is a usb2.0 device, they are notoriously shit for capturing, because it has to encode the data from the source to something that fits on usb 2.0. That is what is causing the delay, if you have other devices that use USB 2.0 like a webcam, they can cause USB bandwidth issues, leading to further sync issues.
