Free NowPlaying Widget

Hey Everyone !

We're excited to announce a new update for our platform, which includes several exciting new features and improvements.

First up, we've added support for command variables in the Bot Commands section of the dashboard.
This means you can now use variables like ${songname}, ${songartists} and ${songurl}.
For example, you could use ${songname} - ${songartists} to display the current song and artist playing on your stream.

In addition, we've also added a new login page to make it easier to see that you can also log in using Twitch.
We hope this makes the login process smoother and more intuitive for our users.

Finally, we've added a note to all bot link modals, reminding users that it's required to have the widget open in order to use them.

Hey everyone!

We've just released a small update for our platform. With this update, we've made a few changes to the username registration process.

From now on, all usernames must have a minimum of 3 characters. Additionally, special characters are no longer allowed or possible when registering a username.

These changes are aimed at improving the security and integrity of our platform.

We have a new update available for you guys!

With this update, we've implemented a Legacy version of the widget, so that everyone can enjoy our widget no matter their OBS version is.

Our system will automatically detect if your OBS is able to handle the latest version. If not, you will be redirected to the Legacy version. However, if you prefer to use the Legacy version without the automatic detection, you can access it through the URL: https://widget.nowplaying.site/legacy/YOUR-UUID.

In the event that you experience any issues with the OBS v28+ version, you can always make use of the Legacy version through the URL stated above.

We would also like to inform you that with this update, the widget works again if you are using Twitch Studio or any other software.

We hope this update makes it even easier for you to use our widget and enhance your stream experience. If you have any questions or feedback, please let us know!

Dashboard:
- Did a lot of optimizations, for page loading and faster saving.
- Now when saving CustomKeys we check with Spotify if the keys are valid!
- Added better explanations in the StreamElements Setup on where to find everything on the StreamElements site.

- Started implementing Premium Features, and started implementing a way to purchase a Premium Subscription. Everything that is free now will remain free, and we will also continue to implement features that are free to use.

Widget:
- Full Recode of the widget has been released,
This recode drops support for OBS v27 and lower.

Some things included in this recode:
- Better song title splitting when a song is coming from the extension.
- Fixed bug in widget hide time feature, including some improvements.
- Fixed a bug in the Experimental design where sometimes it would show up empty.
- and some general QOL improvements.

With this recode I can finally start implementing suggestions.
We are also planning on rebranding soon! We want to expand beyond just a NowPlaying Widget, but more on that later!

Widget:
- You can now select another design then the one you selected through the URL,
This means you can now have multiple designs with 1 URL.
Usage: Your normal URL https://widget.nowplaying.site/AccountID/ and then a design name behind it. Example: https://widget.nowplaying.site/123456789/modern2

Bugs:
- Fixed an issue with the current and previous song command showing comma's
- Fixed an issue where StreamElements would display a blank song when a song is playing.

Overall:
- The way song artists are handled when coming from the extension has been changed,
this should fix and speed up the widget when song coming from the extension somewhat.
- Added better error handling when the access token could not be refreshed.
- When the widget is rate-limited, the Spotify page will automatically try again after 5 seconds.
(This was already a feature in v1 but is now also in v2)

Bugs:
- Fixed a typo in the custom keys model.
- Fixed an issue when updating StreamElements details.

Overall:
- The button to select a widget design has been moved the the sidebar.
- Started working on adding support for multiple language's.

Bugs:
- Added a check to check if a user already has a customkey.
- Fixed an issue with the password reset emails.
- Fixed an issue with the readability button on the preset page.

Overall:
- You can now get the previous song played through a command.
(You can get the new URL through the dashboard)

- You can now use your own spotify keys!
This completely removes rate limiting/slow refreshes when using your own keys.

Bugs:
- There was a bug where users couldn't change their password, this is now fixed.
- There was a bug within the email verification system, this has been resolved and re-enabled!
