I've been contesting with this all day and the conclusion I've come to is that it is a bug. The local OBS output volume in windows' volume mixer controls what the sources are outputting in OBS. As a result, if I want the sources' output to be normal, I have to be deafened by any notification sound OBS makes. My local volume should have nothing to do with OBS's internal volume mixing. Thank you in advance for any help.
PS: I use voicemeeter banana but that has nothing to do with this interaction. It happens even when the audio and the software is routed directly to the original hardware.
