Re: Video source plugin (1.0-19 2013/8/28) (Need testers VLC

Amazing plugin.

We are capturing a rtsp stream from a foscam camera and broadcasting perfectly.
We have auto reconnect enabled and timeout of 10 seconds.

We are testing scenarios and rebooted the IP camera to test if the camera would
come back and start streaming again.

It looks like OSB stayed connected to youtube and streamed a black screen. We
had to stop and start OSB to get the stream back from
the camera RTSP. Is there a way to have it start the RTSP session again or should it and
we have something wrong.

Thanks You all!

Steve
Hi,

Could you please explain how you captured the RTSP stream. I have two TrendNet IP cameras and want to capture their RTSP streams, each as a separate source, but am not sure how to set it up.

Thanks.

I found the solution! Simply capture the stream as "video" under global sources and enter the correct URL. I originally used other port numbers which I had opened to be able to view the cameras away from the local network. However, those did not work for this situation. I needed to use port 554 to access the RTSP stream for each camera. For example... Camera 1: rtsp://admin:admin@10.1.10.22:554/play1.sdp Camera 2: rtsp://admin:admin@10.1.10.30:554/play1.sdp

Make sure your software supports 7z files. I just downloaded both files to test and they work fine for me.
If you have an older version of winrar that might be the problem. Just grab 7zip and test with that.

I'm having one serious problem with this plugin. I'm trying to use it to play music to my stream for something like an introduction... however if I set it to "Output to stream" the volume sliding bar seems to be completely useless and thus plays whatever full blast. If I set it to output to device (IE. My speakers) then the volume bar works fine.

Also, setting the volume bar allllll the way to the left (IE. the end) completely removes it's ability to control volume. Instead of muting, it plays the sound at 100%.

I'm new to OBS so I just pulled down the latest installer which is 0.655b, extracted the video source zip files into the plugins directory. Opened OBS and clicked on plug-ins and I do not see the plugin registered. Is this an incompatibility with the version or have I done something wrong?

I confirmed that OBS is running as 32-bit even though I'm using a 64-bit OS, I have tried both the 32-bit and 64-bit plug in versions. Neither seems to register with the software.

Hello, I'm wondering if you can add a delay for the loop Like I have a Lower third, and I'd like to have it loop but not loop back to back I'd like it to wait for a period of time.

Any chance of Chroma Key support in the future?

Currently to display transparent video you must use codecs that induce a massive file-size on the video, which is a problem if this video must be shared online. Chrome Key functionality within the plugin would be very appreciated.
