Hey guys,
First of all thanks mate for keeping updating the plugin and its wonderful. I have an annoying problem here that the plugin not fetching the name of the artist and song and it stuck with the one played in the beginning. The cover working great but not the song. Its about Spotify :)

Hello.
I've been having a recent issue with the plugin and OBS. The problem is that OBS crashes everytime I start the plugin.
For some reason, when OBS turns on, the plugin is off, and when I enter the settings, and press the buttons to start the plugin, it crashes after like 3-5 seconds.
I'm also attaching the most recent log and crash log.
I've had this issue before, but the other times, it got fixed by itself. This time, I don't seem to be able to find any reasonable fix. I've tried reinstalling OBS and Tuna and still get the same results.

Thanks

Try this build

I can't reproduce the issue when using it.

Thanks for the reply.
So I tried using the build and I was able to get Tuna working normally with spotify and the txt files configured with no problem.
It doesn't seem to crash normally, but I noticed something weird.
Turns out that when spotify is trying to play a local file inside of a playlist, it crashes again, but when it's a song that is registered on spotify, everything works normally.
I'm not sure exactly what causes this, just any song that is a local file but is not from spotify directly, it seems to crash immediately.

Local files won't work, as the API doesn't provide any information for them as far as I know. I can try and see what causes the crash, but the plugin will most likely not be able to fetch any information for them. If you're only playing local files you might want to use another source like VLC, MPD or Foobar2k (via Windows Media control).

That's weird, cuz that was exactly what I was doing before with no issues, that's why it weirded me out, but yeah, it does sound logical.
I might try and do the VLC or MPD method to make it work, but yeah, before it was working normally with local files even from within spotify.
Thanks for the reply anyway.

Can confirm, I was using Tuna 1.8.4 circa January of this year and back then it was able to display at least the title and artist name of local files played from Spotify without issue. I made several playlists that mixed both Spotify-registered songs and local files for that function alone. Tried it again just today and now it crashes when playing local files. Same goes for 1.9.5 in the latest update of OBS. I wonder if Spotify changed how their API behaves for local files?

I've never tried it myself, I guess I just misremembered it, because someone had issues with it at some point.

Edit: Try this build
This one does seem to work with both spotify songs and local files. I only got one crash, but it appears it's detecting local files normally.
I'll be doing some test to make sure, but it appears that it works normally.

Quick edit: The only thing I've noticed is that the time to reload the info of songs is a little longer for local songs. Nothing huge like a minute later or like that, but I have it set to 10s and some songs appear until like 15s or 20s. But I believe it might be having issues with getting the info if things like the album and artist are the same, but nothing bad, just a quick note

Ever since I updated OBS to v. 29.1.1 I'm experiencing crashes. Initially OBS started to crash when I tried to duplicate scene collections. Now I'm experiencing crashes every time, as soon as I try to run OBS... Everything worked perfectly fine before the update.

I'm attaching the log file. It looks like tuna plugin is causing the crashes. Is tuna compatible with the latest version of OBS (v. 29.1.1)?
Apologies if this has been answered before.
