HI @Exeldro I tested now the last version of this plugin. I got again (and inexplicably) the interviewee audio also in the host. audio.
While the interviewee audio doesn't contain the host.

The thing is that when I setup OBS doesn't occur. When I need to record there is always this issue I can't understand where it's from.

Hello,

I'm struggling a bit with the replay buffer compatibility. I typically stream while running the replay buffer so I can have a recording of whatever moment I want saved. I'd like to have one with my face cam and stream overlays, and one with just the game footage. However, whenever I enable the "replay buffer" in the source record filter, it doesn't really seem to do anything. I still just get a massive recording of the entire stream without my overlays and face cam, when I just want what my replay buffer captured without the face cam and overlays. I've set up a hot key to save the replay as well, but when I press it, nothing happens.

Maybe I'm missing something, but any help would be appreciated.

K, apparently you can't delete or edit messages after 10 minutes lol. I figured out what I was doing wrong here.

Hi. I did notice that each time I close OBS (which is the most updated version) by using your plugin, very often OBS closes. But the PID stays opened.I have to killit manually.
Please can you have a check because this issue is recursive. I have your 0.4.4
OBS: 31.0.0

Does anyone else have issues where the source record plug in causes frequent flickering and audio delay? This isn't an issue without the plug in for me.

Not for the moment in time. HOwever in the next days another interview should be delivered to me with the new version of the plugin, and I will check for it.

Is there a way for you get a transparent background? I would like to use this when I stream and record. I use the Nvidia background removal in OBS. Every time I record something it just has a black box around me and it blocks out areas I want to be visible. Screenshot 2025-01-01 220410.png

Windows 11 - OBS 31.0.0 - Source Record 0.4.4

Trying to run this filter on a source that is a video in a pop-out, a picture-in-picture window. When the video ends, the pop-out window disappears, as expected, but this filter dies. It leaves a 0 byte output file, and leaves OBS hanging in the background with a stalled obs-ffmpeg-mux.exe process. On next startup of OBS I get the message that it crashed on close last time.

I'm not a developer, but maybe this issue could be resolved if when the picture-in-picture window ends, it could trigger a graceful close of the filter to write the recorded file.

As described above, when recording a picture-in-picture window, if the video in the pop-out window ends, OBS freezes and the recording leaves a 0 byte file. I was previously unable to get a crash log, but this time it gave me the option to save the log.

Hello,

I am currently testing the feature to record "All Audio" tracks. My test case in OBS is set up as follows:

  • Track 1: YouTube Feed (Input)
  • Track 2: Twitch Feed (Input)
  • Track 3: Shure SM7B (Input)
  • Track 4: VoIP (Output)
  • Track 5: Game Sound (Output)
  • Track 6: Video (Output)
It’s really exciting to record pure gameplay footage while streaming. However, it seems that the "All Tracks" settings aren’t working as expected. While all six tracks are present in the VOD, they remain empty – except for Track 2, which is used for Twitch.

Is there currently a known bug related to this?
My goal is to have at least Tracks 3, 4, 5, and 6 available separately for editing.

I’d be very grateful for any tips.

Best regards

Having a problem with source record where it's corrupting my main recording. I had to uninstall it because it kept corrupting my main .mkv file which I still wanted. How can I fix this?

Using this plugin has developed into a love-hate relationship. I'm not sure why, but when OBS 31 released and I upgraded to plugin version 4.4, instability issues crept in. I didn't have time to investigate the sources so I rolled back to the most stable versions for me. Since there are so many sources for conflicts on a Windows platform, I ended up using OBS 30.2.3 and Source Record 3.4.

When the plugin works, it's awesome. I stream ice hockey games and this plugin awesome for using with cameras placed behind the goal nets. The issue that develops is after some time (~10 minutes), there's no response to the Hotkey command when triggered from the Streamdeck to perform the recording function.

I also will shut off the filter and turn them back on, but that seems to have no effect.

I'm curious if there's a setting or another plugin/LUA script I should have?

I record 2 sources, 1 webcam, 1 desktop. Desktop stops with 4 minutes earlier. Any idea why this could happen?

I guess the preset quality 7 is too high to use it at the same time while recording 2 sources. Lowering it to p5 on both sources seems to fix the issue. I thought that this source plugin doesn't affect the performance while recording, but it is clearly more demanding than recording only one source.

@Exeldro any chance that you will incorporate the ability to record multiple audio tracks with Source Record? My OBS main recording has 3 audio tracks but the Source Record only has one. The only audio/video track I use from my OBS recording is track 1 (Gameplay audio) and track 2 (discord audio).
