Source Record

Source Record 0.4.4

Hey everyone,
Maybe you can help me out with this one.

I'm currently working on a setup where I have different scenes, each with a different browser input (currently only 10 sources). The idea is to have different sources that I want to clip using the replay buffer for source recording simultaneously.

It seems to be working fine, but the only issue I’m facing is audio capture. Sometimes it captures the audio from the current/active sources, and other times it creates the clip with no audio at all.

Of course, I’ve already tried the 'Different Audio' option and assigned the correct audio-browser input.

Any ideas on how to make this environment work?

Thanks!

Hi,
Is it me or it used to be possible to record a seperate track but retain the OBS audio settings ? In my case its 320kpbs but it keeps recording at 160 (default?)
Thanks

Hi guys trying to record two sources, my webcam and gameplay but whenever I go to end it it doesn’t show up and says file is corrupt. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
If you use the new AV1 encoder some video player csnt handle it, otherwise just close OBS and wait a second. Usually OBS ist always writing into the video file and inly when closed the video might replay

Will it be possible in the future to assign more than one different audio track?
I use source record on a Szene to capture my gameplay source, mic source and sometimes music source simultaneously but when I edit them i get only one mixed audio track... this means i cut some gameplay audio if i want to cut out my mic in the enditing software

I am using the Source Record plugin for OBS Studio, version 0.4.1. I use the filter to capture highlights from my live streams with a 180-second buffer.

One issue I’ve noticed is that once I activate this feature in one of my scenes, I cannot stop it.
Is there a functionality to enable the buffer only when I am live streaming or recording, similar to how the Vertical Scenes plugin works?

Currently, when I open OBS, the buffer starts immediately, and I cannot manage the video outputs or close OBS without it crashing.

Thank you!

@Exeldro do u see this post ?

Source Record appears be crashing my OBS on exit. It happened with 0.4.0 and is happening again with 0.4.1. Everything else is working fine but OBS doesn't seem to enjoy shutting it down. Rolling back to 0.3.5 stopped the crashes.

Oh, and yes I'm currently running OBS 31 RC1, but this same crash was happening on 30.2.3 stable.

First off thanks for the extremely useful plugin! I have a video capture source in my scene that's cropped to 4:3, but Source Record outputs the un-cropped 16:9 video. Is it possible for the cropped 4:3 video to be recorded instead?

I suppose the ideal solution is for the source in OBS to capture directly at a true 4:3 resolution, but I'm not sure if my hardware allows for that. My capture card is an Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2, and the video is coming from a Retrotink 5X. So I've got some options with a scaler in the mix, but I'd still need an incoming resolution that plays nice with the capture card.

Is there any way we can get an email or notification when there is a Source Record update? The only way I know there is an updated version out is my .mkv files cannot be used in Davinci Resolve.

@k0ntroversial on the OBS resource page there is a watch option, other options is following on Bluesky, Twitter or GitHub
Thanks!

Having issues again with the Source Record file for my Gameply being "corrupted" after completing stream whether I'm using .mkv or fragmented .mp4. My Webcam seems to not have issues with the file.

@k0ntroversial in that case it is Davinci Resolve that has an issue with the encoder you used. You can try using an other encoder or try to get a fix for Davinci Resolve.
