Source Record 0.4.4

I have set all the split source record hotkeys but still only the main recording is splitting. hmm checking what I missed.

If I set it to automatic split every 5 seconds it will do so...

and I just figured it out. It appears that I have to select the enable automatic split in the source record filter , but then set the time to 0 and space to a large number such as 40960 MB so hopefully only the hotkey triggers it.

@Tallicia do you have the record splitting option checked in the source record settings?
I do now and have configured it so I believe it will work happily!

I see it appears to change the spaces to underscores in the filename. I'll have to adapt to match that, though it would be nice if it kept the spaces.

@Exeldro Wow that was fast! Seems to work good!
Perhaps a checkbox for hot keyboard split would be easier
Right now I think setting the virtual camera to start and stop all the recordings will cover 90% of our use cases.
Is there another way to start the recordings individually? Sometimes not all the wrestling mats will start at the same time and some mats will end really so it will would be nice to individually start/stop each source.

There is a source-record pause and unpause for each source-record filter in the hotkeys config. Is that what you are looking for?

@Tallicia Thanks! I didn't see that.
All I can seem to do is start all the recordings with a control button like virtual camera and use the hot key to stop but after that I can't seem to restart the recording of the individual sources

@Exeldro is there a way Source Record can be used to rename the prefix of a file to match the athlete?
I would want to be able to
Push a key to close the file
Popup a pick-list of athletes's names and be able to choose one with my mouse and save the file with the name prefix.

The athlete's names would be in a csv that can be imported
Mary_Brown_USA, John_Smith_CAN

This would reduce errors when renaming files.

Hey! Would appreciate any help with this! I tried reading the crash report, but I honestly have no idea what I'm looking at.

I'm experiencing a crash after about 10 seconds of recording. I made a separate scene collection with two scenes, one camera source on each scene, and an audio source on the first scene. I only have source record setup as a filter on the camera source of the second scene. Are my settings just too high? I'm running Windows 11 with a 14900K and a 4090 Gaming Trio; 128gb RAM. I typically don't have many issues with encoding or system load, and especially here, I'm only recording one extra source in addition to the main scene.

Like I said, would very much appreciate any help anyone can offer! This is a much needed tool for me, and I just want to try and get it to do the thing :)

Thank you so very much as always @Exeldro Truly making the world a much better place!

Being able to jump between chapters even in VLC is absolutely glorious!

One quick question, is it possible for source record to use the frame rate of the source it self, not related in any way to the canvas? I have a source that offers 144/120 and such recording framerates. Is it possible to have source record capture and record at the native source's frame rate?

This is just a quick 5 second review response, but using CBR ( constant bit rate ) for flow control and adjusting the bit rate till I can't notice any artifacts has been my quick go to way to get recordings quickly with the least amount of space necessary to maintain a quality I can't tell the difference in.

Could it be possible to put in like i can choose more audio tracks for it to record? So its not only ONE.

You are awesome! :)

Just a follow-up, tried switching to CBR and lowering the bitrate, and there's no change. Still getting a crash within 10-20 seconds of starting the recording. I'm at a loss. Not sure if the crash report will tell you anything, but I would appreciate any help with this! Thanks in advance!

@noizeproxy it is a crash unloading the output. Do you have an OBS log of the session with the crash for me to look at?

@Exeldro I'm guessing the corresponding log file is one of these two. Sorry for not including earlier. I'm new at this level of troubleshooting. Thanks for taking time to look into it!

I am using the Source Record plugin for OBS Studio, version 0.4.1. I use the filter to capture highlights from my live streams with a 180-second buffer.

One issue I’ve noticed is that once I activate this feature in one of my scenes, I cannot stop it.
Is there a functionality to enable the buffer only when I am live streaming or recording, similar to how the Vertical Scenes plugin works?

Currently, when I open OBS, the buffer starts immediately, and I cannot manage the video outputs or close OBS without it crashing.

Thank you!
