OBS Crashes When I Hit Start Recording

As the title says, the program crashes the second I hit start recording but remains technically open in the background until I go into the task manager and disable it. The most recent change I attempted was to switch from mp4 format to MKV. (I am trying to get rid of random audio stuttering when using a webcam, thus the change). I also use an Elgato capture device (HdS60 I think it the name)

UPDATE 1: So I tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the software, which did not help. Same thing as before, and I am assuming the same crash and log reports. However, I changed the output format of the video back to mp4, which allowed me to record again without crashing. However, this is still an issue because I need to be able to record game footage with webcam footage and not have random audio stuttering. Here is a log report after I recorded a session: https://obsproject.com/logs/4WRQVEV3Pi7m5_wW

My next attempt to fix this issue will be to change the format to FLV

UPDATE 2: Disaster. Trying to record in FLV created a file which had no thumbnail and trying to open it in VLC gave me this error:

Your input can't be opened:

VLC is unable to open the MRL 'file:///D:/2020-07-15%2011-40-57.flv'. Check the log for details.

Here is the log for that atrocity: https://obsproject.com/logs/HAxEzIE8Z0atKBgv
