updated the audio SDK from this website like OBS asked for in the audio filters menu.
I downloaded the 30 series version since that's my GPU, then when I launched OBS both my monitors would turn on and off every few seconds, then eventually turn off permanently. I reset the PC and disabled launch as Admin on OBS, but this didn't work. I uninstalled the SDK and now OBS won't launch at all, always giving the error message attached. Not even a fresh install of OBS fixes this.

For starters, you should completely get rid of the Nvidia audio SDK. Delete it. Launch OBS if it works and switch to simpler audio filters for noise reduction. This should probably be fixed in the next update.

Same issue, OBS 29.0.2, Windows 11, RTX 3080Ti. Error scenario is exactly as you describe. The fault may lie in the Nvidia SDK, but the two definitely don't play nice together with the latest versions.
