Question / Help Elgato HD60 audio and video skipping

The Game Capture HD had a hardware revision which does not work with the, quick frankly, SUPER outdated 1.42 software.

Please use the 2.20 or 3.0 beta software, as it includes important sync fixes when used in OBS.
Yep that's what I thought. 2.01 doesn't work either.

Well I just have to wait until a fix has been found I guess.

oh there is a new Elgato Software update now...
unfortunately it doesn't fix jack shit... HD60 is still broken with OBS and xsplit...
and Elgato keeps quite because that's how customer service is supposed to be...

Not sure if you have read through the thread but we're actively looking into it and I see everything you guys write.

One thing I would like you to try is this:
make sure that the "Custom Resolution" Checkbox is UNCHECKED.

Audio output in the HD60 source properties is set to "Stream only".

Please let me know if it helps, or if it does not.

I'm having the same problem as everyone mentioning here, video and audio skips during loading/transition screens.

I've tried everything, including the steps above. Problem is still there.

Hope this problem is fixed soon, it's actually starting to bother some of my viewers now.

Anything new? Problem still occurs with Elgato HD even with the latest Elgato software. I've seen many streamers on Twitch who have the same issue. It's not an isolated problem, at all!

The quality is honestly quite damn good on the el gato, just wish we could fix this black screen/transition issue as it's the only problem that keeps me from using it :(.
 
I have been following this thread for a solution for quite some time now and I have to say that most of you people are not helpful at all. Saying you have stuttering when there is a transitional loading screen does not help them at all. Log files are the things that are gonna solve this issue, which the majority of you did not even bother sending.

As for me, Im using XSplit and am already in contact with both Elgato support and XSplit support and Im just here for additional info.

Hopefully, its an Elgato issue, so if it gets fixed for one of us, it gets fixed for others too.

tl;dr: If you want an issue fixed, do not call the company names like an idiot, send them your logs so they can see whats causing the issue, recreate it, isolate it and solve it.

Add Elgato capture device as a global source, or maybe use OBS-MP. On the regular OBS, there is a "Global Sources..." button right next to "Preview Stream" button, at least for OBS v0.613b and later.

well this has been an issue since may... and this will still be an issue in may 2016... this will NEVER get fixed simple as that!! Every advice I get is stupid shit like "make sure checkbox XY is checked"...

It's a problem with Elgato's drivers, because the same thing stuttering issue happens with OBS mutliplat and xsplit too. Look at this thread in the xsplit forums: https://support.xsplit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=121&t=31782

at first the customers service from xplit tried to resolve the issue, now they're not even responding most likely because they know it's Eglato's fault...

and meanwhile Elgato's is too busy putting new stuff into their game capture software because that's a higher priority because why would they care about me since I already bought their stuff?

I can only repeat:
THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN KNOWN SINCE MAY 2015 AND THERE IS STILL NO FIX!!

and face it: this will never get fixed
so it's all for the best to sell your HD60 and never buy any of their products ever again...
 
Well, I have seen less than a handful of people providing logs and there is less than a handfull of possible solutions. Once again, I suggest sending logs for both the Elgato software thingie and from OBS.

also I tried running Elgato Windows Reporter TWICE and it says a zip file with all the information has been created on my desktop, but there is no zip file on my desktop... it just doesn't appear...

Please run the reporter tool as administrator by right clicking on the exe. The logs are vital to figuring out what is going on.

Same problem for me.

The only solution for the moment it's to use the version 2.10.72 of the software.
I don't say that it's the only one solution but it works for me.
I'll share a video soon.

Nothing changed ... :(
Also, Elgato customer service won't answer back any of my e-mails.
Time to save $$$ for a new capture card
