Question / Help Can hotkeys be assigned to Scene Transitions drop-down options?

Is there a way to assign hotkeys to the transition selection?

I'm programming my Stream Deck which can call any keyboard hotkeys, or select and transition to a particular scene in OBS Studio. The workflow I'm looking to achieve is to assign buttons/hotkeys on the Stream Deck to CUT, FADE, SWIPE, and custom Stinger Transitions, and use the currently working "Scene" selection buttons to initiate the transition to the chosen scene:

Press CUT hotkey - "Cut" is selected in the Scene Transitions drop-down
Press SCENE 1 hotkey - Program cuts to scene 1
Press SCENE 2 hotkey - Program cuts to scene 2
Press FADE hotkey - "Fade" is selected in the Scene Transitions drop-down
Press SCENE 1 hotkey - Program fades to scene 1
Press SCENE 2 hotkey - Program fades to scene 2

This works now if I select the transition in the "Scene Transitions" drop-down, then press the SCENE X button on my Stream Deck, but if I could select the transition type via a hotkey first, that would be awesome.

I thought about something like this some time ago when StreamDeck introduced multi actions. Looking into OBS' hotkey list I couldn't find an entry, a google lookup then led me here. So I'm subbing for updates (or supporting the request for feature).

Our waiting has been rewarded. When I read the sources correctly, there is now a way in Stream Deck to change the scene transition:
