Hi, I have a question: is there a way I can download the plugin in version 0.8.5? I couldn't find the versions in the "Releases" section on Git Hub.

Hi Exeldro. I have not found any plugin similar to yours. This plugin sure is usefull. Thanks for the work that you have put into it. I use it for OBS on my PC which is using the Windows OS. Instead of having Windows 10 upgraded to Windows 11 on my laptop, I have downloaded Linux Mint and to my astonishment, I like that OS. The sad thing though is that a number of OBS plugnis are not available for (Ubuntu) Linux Mint. Is there any chance that the "Audio Monitor" will also be available for Linux Mint (Open Source version of Ubuntu not Debian) in the very near future?

This is such a useful plugin. Thanks for all your efforts @Exeldro .

One suggestion for the next update which would be so useful, is an extra mute option:

- Linked to active on the main view (visible on stream/recording).

This is the opposite to the existing option. It means that you can listen to a source audio on a speaker (old style pre-fade) before you take it to output, which then automatically mutes it.

That would be a very helpful addition for me, and possibly others.

Thanks & best wishes.

Does this plugin support, for example, setting up a Device using VendorEvent through obs-web-sockets?

Hi Exeldro,

Thanks for all your work on this plugin.

I've recently been needing to use this plugin a lot more. I'm using a 2nd PC to stream my horizontal canvas as my main PC was having rendering issues while playing my games. I'm using a HDMI capture device for video and also bought the Beacn Studio so I can route my main PC audio over to my stream PC. My entire stream is "produced" on my main PC and fed over to my stream PC. Also note that I'm using Aitum Vertical and streaming vertical from my main PC. There have been zero issues with my vertical streams.

I discovered your Audio Plugin can monitor the audio tracks of OBS, so I'm now monitoring tracks 1 and 2 over to my stream PC using 2 of the Beacn virtual audio sources. Unfortunately it seems that the audio monitor plugin is creating significant desync on the audio over time. 2 hours into my last stream on Wednesday evening, the audio was completely off by several seconds. There was also significant crackling.

I'm wondering about some potential implementation for this plugin.
  • Because the OBS audio tracks are not using a filter to monitor the audio, I don't have the ability to turn off and on a filter. Is it possible to add a way, even by hotkey, to disable and re-enable the track audio monitors? The only way I could get around this was to manually remove the monitors and then re-add them to see if that would help my issue. It fixed the desync almost completely but not the crackling.
  • Would there be a way to add the ability to deactivate the entire audio monitor plugin and then re-enable it? Even though in my last bullet, I mentioned I could remove/re-add the monitors, it was still a bit desynced and crackling. The only way I could fully fix it was to restart OBS. This unfortunately meant I had to stop my vertical stream on my main PC OBS in order to be able to restart OBS. Not ideal. So having a way to completely "restart" the audio monitors might help my issue. A hotkey ability would be sufficient as well.
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks.

@1upCAD made a test build with mute/unmute hotkeys and an option to restart output on unmute

I think you misunderstood what I meant. I found what you added, but that's for source filters. I was talking about the OBS Audio Tracks where you pick the output.

Is there a way to add hotkeys to deactivate and reactivate those audio monitors? The same that you added for the source filters?

Hopefully I'm making sense. See attached screenshot.

@1upCAD added a hotkey to reset the output track audio monitors:
I tried this version.

It seems there might be a different issue on my end that I need to figure out. I thought it was desync overtime, but it seems that the desync is caused by some of my redemptions I created. But I'm not sure if it desynced the audio monitor or something else in OBS itself. My vertical stream was perfectly fine though and did not desync (vertical stream on main OBS and doesn't use the audio monitor).

We ran some tests and this is what happens. See on my YouTube live here: https://www.youtube.com/live/EP2QNty9NPE?si=RyyF9wCbxa7oD5TJ&t=4277 (watch from 1:11:00 to 1:17:00)

As soon as I manually ran a redeem, I'm assuming it created desync with the audio monitor plugin but I'm not comletely sure.

When I tried using the hotkey for "Audio Monitor Output Tracks Reset" it did nothing. I still needed to completely close OBS in order to fix the desync from the audio monitor. After reloading OBS, everything was back to normal.

Any thoughts?
