Free Animated Lower Thirds with Dockable Control Panel v.1.6

[Wasp3D]

Hey @NoeAL,

Great work on modernizing and extending this project. The drag-and-drop positioning, expanded template library, and native RTL support are especially valuable additions for OBS users.

It's always encouraging to see open-source livestream graphics tools being actively maintained and improved. The flexibility you've added around positioning, animation controls, and typography addresses many of the challenges streamers and content creators face when building professional-looking broadcasts.

Looking forward to seeing how it evolves.

Hi @NoeAL and everyone still using this incredible resource!

Like many of you in the reviews, I absolutely love this tool. Since the original version hasn't been updated in a while and still has some limitations on modern systems and layout flexibility, I decided to give it a massive overhaul and launch a fully upgraded, modernized open-source version!

I've just published the repository on GitHub: https://github.com/alhamodi/animated-lower-thirds

✨ Here is what’s new in this upgraded version:

* 16 Premium Templates: Includes beautiful new styles like Gold, Emerald, Minimalist Glass (perfect for corporate/lectures), and dedicated Ramadan/Heritage themes.
* True Drag & Drop: You can now drag the lower third directly with your mouse from the control panel preview to reposition it anywhere on your stream layout instantly.
* Advanced Offset & Animation Sliders: Adjust X/Y Offsets, change animation speeds, and switch transition directions (Left, Right, Fade, or Elastic) directly via sliders.
* Native Arabic Typography Support: Fully optimized for right-to-left layout and comes with built-in premium fonts (Cairo, Tajawal, Almarai, Changa, Amiri) selectable with a single click.
* Fixed macOS Setup Issues: Included clear documentation and a lightweight local server script (server.py) to completely bypass the CORS/Local File updates issue on Mac without manually hacking paths.
* Modern Dev Stack: Rebuilt and tested using Vitest and Playwright to ensure long-term framework stability and bulletproof BroadcastChannel API performance.

Everything is fully open-source under the MIT license, keeping the exact same spirit of sharing that this community started.

Feel free to check it out, clone it, and let me know your thoughts! If you have any feedback or feature requests, let's keep the project alive on the GitHub repo.

Dear louis,

As I mentioned previously (https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...ith-dockable-control-panel.127896/post-700620), you can go to the repository where I uploaded the updated file and download and install it as usual. I've included some screenshots of what you need to download.

After the modifications I made, another contributor implemented further improvements, including compatibility with the Arabic language. Since I don't speak Arabic, I don't need that.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards

Hello, I've used this plugin a few times but some times felt it should have the names visible on the button directly instead of numbers, so after a few interactions with gemini we've made some improvements like buttons with the names of the person, drag'n'drop to reorder buttons, and customize the number of buttons (in main settings - show more)
Here is the code for the control-panel.html file for whoever needs it (see example image)

And a new improved version with some bug fixes and adding a third line (that is still not animated, but the other 2 works fine:) and if you press a button it turns on, and pressing again thesame button turns off.
