Free Animated Lower Thirds with Dockable Control Panel v.1.6

By the defult has four lower thrid option in the control panel. Now, I need to know, how to add a new lower third (Like lower third 5) from the control panel.

Hi, will there be any updates to the project? I'm just having a small problem with the GIF animation; it restarts when any text is changed.

I’m already working on the next version, this will drop the use of local webserver and will alao do a couple tweaks to the placeholder sistem but I’m working on my plugins during my spare time so the new update may only be available by next weekend.

But I was referring to the Lower Third 1.6 plugin; I'll test yours here to see if I can adapt to it.

@MMLTech - Thanks for sharing your plugin, Smart Lower Thirds (SLT). I've been using the Animated Lower Thirds (ALT) for years, but considering that ALT is apparently no longer being maintained/updated, I was looking for potential replacements.

There's a feature in ALT that I greatly value that I believe is not yet available in SLT. With ALT I can create a "parent" lower third with multiple, interdependent "child" lower thirds (i.e. "slots"). Along with a timer, that parent lower third will cycle automatically through each child (same position on screen), allowing me to effectively show multiple lower thirds, one-at-a-time in an organized, timely manner. From my understanding of your tool, I cannot currently do that with SLT.

Is my understanding correct? If not, how would I emulate that functionality within SLT? If so, are there plans to incorporate a lookalike feature in SLT?

Thanks in advance for your response!

Hei, well you can do a workaround for that in SLT by creating multiple lower thirds and playing with "Repeat every(sec):" and "Keep visible (sec):" but that sounds like a nice feature to be added in the next versions of SLT to have a "Carousel" automation where you can group multiple lower thirds and cycle them to a given delay. I'll have that noted down on github as a new feature for the future.

Thanks for the prompt reply! I've added SLT to my "watched resources" list, so I'll keep an eye out for future updates and switch over as soon as that "carousel" feature is added. Thanks again!

It’s already planned for the next version, currently under testing

Hi,
Great work ! I have a question : i'd like to have lower thirds to have score alerts. I'm running OBS on linux and access to a windows share where are stored several text files. The score are entered on one of these files. Is it possible to read a text file so the lower-third title or subtitle can be automatically changed without any action on the OBS computer ?

Thanks for your answer ;)

You can create a lower third in SLT using and in the javascript template write your own reading logic from that files and wire them to const $ = (sel) => root.querySelector(sel); in other words is doable but requires some codding knowledge, you can try with a AI to help you read from that files

Thank you for your quick answer ! Programming could be a solution, but i don't want to break what's working now, as the first lives will occur in 3 weeks from now (and I have a lot of thing to secure...). I'll try this with the gap between games 2 and 5 (approx 1 month) and tell you what it gave ;)

Again thanks for your job/work ! ;)

Hi again,
Another day, another question... I'd like to have several group of Lower thirds : One, already done, that appears on top left screen. I have no problem with this one.

I want another group, to appear on a second browser (because the first one is full screened, as this one would be only displayed both left and right but mid height of the screen). I want 2 LT to be displayed simultaneously (one left and one right).
This is done like this on my OBS (On the screen capture, only one browser appears, but i have 2 browsers, each one on a separate scene) :

The "Grenoble ATTAQUE" is meant to appear from the left, and "Grizzly Defense" is meant to appear from the right... I don't know if i'm doing things the wrong way, or if there is some kind of limitation.
In order to be complete, Im using Linux OBS/SLT...

Best regards ;)

I just realized we are on the wrong thread. This is the thread for Smart Lower Thirds https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/smart-lower-thirds.2275/ and what you asked is doable in the version 2.7.0 using lower thirds groups
