I use an Elgato HD60 Pro to play console games in a window on my PC. I don't use the card or OBS studio for streaming or anything else like that.
I got a PS5 yesterday and realized that it should be able to display 40-60fps but I can't seem to get the OBS Preview mode to display anything higher...
This is going to be a long post but going to do my best to describe what's been happening.
It's been happening for weeks and it's driving me nuts. I've done hours of research and tried to fix this including completely wiping/reinstalling windows and OBS.
To preface, as odd as it sounds, this...
Hello, I installed OBS from the microsoft store and must have turned something on, either way I have these weird guidelines in my preview (not recording) and dont know how to turn them off.
Hello! Yesterday when I opened OBS to record a quick video I noticed my Capture Card preview was extremity laggy and if I was to click record, that would also be extremely laggy. Afterwards I tried to fix it for awhile but nothing worked. Here is what I tried
- Installing new driver updates for...

I have a problem with OBS. I want to stream with the game recording feature, but during the preview of OBS there are stutters, although the game runs smoothly.
Thank you in advance

Hi Friends,
So I once had an idea (here , here and here) to preview a scene on the same monitor minus OBS which is now possible which is amazing.
(The "Hide OBS window from screen capture while recording" setting)
Now I have an issue, I am trying to switch between two scenes while I preview...
Hello! I would like to be able to play console games (using and Elgato HD 60 Pro) through OBS's preview window. That way, while streaming on Twitch, I can easily hear both my friends talking and the game without awkwardly having one earbud in from the TV and one from Discord. Plus it'd be nice...
Hi! I am rather new to OBS and I have a little problem. I programmed a little welcome message per Streamer Bot which makes a sentence pop up above the chat box when a user writes in the chat for the first time per stream. It all works very well in the preview but when I am live it still only...

Hey there
We have some problems with previewingrtmp sources. We build up an amazon server with ANT-Media, and created several rtmp server sources for different people. We implemented those rtmp sources in our OBS and it is working fine, just the previewis not working at all, it's just black...
Earlier today I installed some plugins for OBS and switched form the snap version to my native package manager's version (cuz plugins no run in snap duh).
Installation worked fine but all the preview windows appear to be transparent eg. not drawing. Here is an image what this looks like. Here is...
Hello all. My OBS can't even keep up with YouTube or simple videos. I'm not even streaming. The preview lags very badly and is essentially a slideshow that updates every 5 seconds or so. I have used this exact setup previously in 1080p@60fps with flawless results.
I'll breakdown my setup...
I have fixed the spiking render time issue, but the main issue remains: My stream develops stutter about 45 minute to an hour in. It starts with the OBS preview dropping down to what looks like 30fps, a vsync test shows its not running at 60fps and its the ENTIRE preview window, not a source...
