Zonea turns any Windows touch screen into a fully custom control surface. Instead of adapting your workflow to fixed hardware, you design the exact controller you need: scene buttons where you want them, audio faders sized for your fingers, a record button you cannot miss, and live video monitors right on your surface.
FREE WHILE OBS IS RUNNING
Let us be upfront: Zonea is a commercial app. But while OBS Studio is running, Zonea is completely free. Full version, every feature, no time limits, no watermarks, no account, no registration. Any recent version of OBS counts. Detection happens locally on your machine; nothing is sent anywhere. That is the whole deal: OBS is one of our favorite projects, and making Zonea free for its users is our way of supporting it and the people who use it. Zonea itself is also built with the help of open-source libraries, most of them MIT licensed, all credited in the notices file that ships with every install.
NATIVE OBS INTEGRATION
Zonea connects directly to OBS through its built-in WebSocket server (OBS 28 and newer, nothing extra to install). Just enable the WebSocket server in OBS, enter the connection details in Zonea, and you get:
- Scene switching: one-tap scene buttons that behave like a radio group and always reflect the scene OBS is actually on
- Start/stop recording and streaming, with the button lighting up while active
- Virtual camera on/off
- Mute and unmute any audio input
- Save replay buffer
- Audio volume control with real faders and dials, with bidirectional feedback: move it in Zonea and OBS follows, move it in OBS and your surface follows

Everything is bidirectional. Your surface never lies to you: what you see on the controller is the real state of OBS, even if you click something in OBS itself.

Zonea speaks the video protocols that drive modern streaming and broadcast: NDI, Spout and OMT. Pull your OBS program output, a preview, or a camera feed straight onto your control surface and monitor everything from the same screen you control it with. Your controller becomes a mini multiviewer.
