I’m a solo developer and streamer, and I built this app originally for my own workflow.
My goal was simple:
I wanted one mobile interface where I could control OBS and manage my streaming PC / VPS at the same time — without relying on cloud services or multiple apps.
That personal project eventually became Stream Commander.
It connects directly to OBS using WebSocket and to your server/PC via SSH.
The app was just released on Google Play, and I’m sharing it here in case it’s useful to others — feedback from power users is very welcome.
What Stream Commander currently supports
OBS control (free):
After that it becomes paid (currently €3.09/year in Finland due to VAT).
You can cancel anytime during the trial.
Privacy & architecture
This app follows a local-first approach:
Connections are made directly between your phone and your machines.
Nothing is sent to external servers.
My own setup also involves VPS management and server-side automation, so I wanted both in one place instead of juggling multiple apps.
This started purely as a personal tool for my own streams.
Now I’m sharing it to see if others have similar workflows.

- Microphone mute
- Live stream status
- Simple deck-style control from your phone
- Connect to your streaming PC or VPS
- Create custom SSH command buttons (reboots, scripts, automation, etc.)
- Built-in terminal
