Not sure why this is happening, if it helps I use two tracks when recording. But the output for streaming is set to one track. And the mic/aux is popping up like it is responging. Just strange. Any advice?

The mic is the default on the computer and in obs. Also it records fine with it.

(It was mad at me for having both game capture and display capture on)

Check the following:

1) Bring up Windows Sound Panel and click the Recording tab.
Enable your mic and set it to be the default device.
If you use another mic for communication, set it to be the default communication device
Right click and disable all other recording audio devices that you will not use.

2) Click on any cog wheel in the OBS audio mixer panel and choose Advanced Audio Properties. For your mic, verify the following:

If you don't monitor, set it to Monitor Off
If you do monitor, set it to Monitor and Output
In both cases, the mic will be captured to the track you enabled via checkboxes.

Notice also in above, I have a Logitech C920 webcam. It has a built in mic. I Monitor Only (mute output) and do not check a track to avoid it from being captured.

3) In OBS settings | Audio category, Mic/Auxiliary should be set to the mic explicitly or Default (which corresponds to whatever is the Windows default recording device).

Ahhh okay, yes I have to switch the tracks when I'm streaming. I have it on seperate for recording so it's easier to edit and I forgot where that setting was. Thank you!!
