Ive been streaming for years and and just last week my streams started dropping network frames MASSIVELY. I havent been able to get one stable stream out. Ive never had this issue before, ive made sure ive updated all drivers, checked my settings in OBS, reset my modem, changed ethernet cords. I even reset my entire pc. Its still doing it. I will provide my logs, someone please help. :( all of these logs are just from tonight. I will also provide my pc specs. Im also having some redering lag. No packet loss on test.

What are you doing for real-time LAN & WAN link throughput monitoring?

Though... see all those streamlements (such PoS code) errors - try a test using portable mode, WITHOUT anything relate to streamelements, and try again. Why? shouldn't, but if code getting hung up on streamelements timeouts or related, causing network traffic hiccups, coudl be somethign not helping

19:16:39.187: Output 'simple_stream': Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 10583 (65.5%)
see FAQ on this site related to dropped frames
Other than that, other activity on your PC can interfere (stuff you are unaware of, and malware), other traffic (both that which you expect, and that which you don't) on LAN can cause bottleneck, and then in really rare cases, something at ISP, or your own WAN link... but this list is in the order of probablity.

Hello, dropped frames like this are almost always out of your control and usually a sign you need to contact your ISP as they have full control over your network. I will link this guide which was written to cover everything you can control but it also mentions that if you've gone through everything then it is time you contact your ISP.

In response to the stream elements, I had my boyfriend run a test on his PC with a different OBS and twitch account with just game capture and nothing else and it did the same thing to him today. I’m almost positive it’s my ISP. We tried calling them last night, but they didn’t really help out much. Just told us to reset our router basic stuff that I already tried.

I would understand the bottleneck if it was just one stream, but I’ve tried to go live with tests and real streams at least 50 times in the past week and every single stream was having network lag. Ive streamed on the same Internet service provider for a few months now , I just moved a couple months ago, but I didn’t start having this issue until last week.

I did a malware scan like a full scan and nothing came up, but I just use the built-in window scan. Do you recommend anything else for scanning?

I got in contact with them last night and they basically did nothing. They just kept telling me to reset my router when I told them I’ve already done that and they said they could send someone out, but they’ll just check the wiring and they didn’t help at all. I’m at my wits end. I’m not really sure what else to do. Do you think it could be that my equipment is old? We thought about replacing the router and the modem.

Getting someone out is probably the best thing you can do, equipment is one of the many things covered in that guide.

Use TwitchTest to find the best server for your location.

Try a static discharge of your router:
1. Disconnect all cables from your router. Disconnect the power cable from wall/surge protect/power strip
2. Wait a full 5 minutes and turn off/disable WiFi any devices that are set to connect to your router
3. After a full 5 minutes have passed, reconnect the coax/phone/fiber to your router.
4. Plug power cable back into router.
5. Plug power cable back into wall/surge protect/power strip.
6. Wait at least a full 5 minutes for it completely start back up
7. Reconnect Ethernet cables to router and try streaming
8. Turn on/enable WiFi on your devices where it was turned off.
