My driver keeps crashing after like 5-10 minutes on the latest build, Windows 10 and R9 280X.
Any solutions for that?

Any Idea why it crashed?

Thx for checking.

is there no way to have a real cbr? its constantly going from 200 to 12,000
http://www.twitch.tv/avrotrigger/v/17172462
if you right click on the stream you can display stats and see the fps.

settings are

F4vqn78.png

windows 10x64
asus r9 290x
15.8beta driver

yes its set to peak vbr but thats the only one that is somewhat stable
cbr setting itself is far far worse
also noticed that 60 fps creates this like rubber band in videos.
as if it goes from 60 to 50fps at points if u watch this one
http://www.twitch.tv/avrotrigger/v/17172333
you will notice when i run around
(only noticed in the stream not in game)

I am in a weird pickle. I want to buy a one of those Korean freesync 4k monitors but the only way I can record 4k is going with something like a FuryX. But the Fury X only has 4GB of vram. I could go with a 980ti, but I have no idea if they will support freesync or not. (they will probably relent and finally use it after gsync fails)

The other problem is that AMD OBS support is really iffy right now. I have to keep 15.6 on Windows 10 because otherwise 1080p60 recording doesn't work at all.

Unable to find any functioning settings on Windows 10, R9 390 and 15.20.1062.1004-150803a-184226E drivers (only drivers that work on this card).

VCE 1080p60fps with 20, 30, 40, 50 Mbps on Speed & Balanced settings (AMF) has massive stutter and frame drops or it just stops recording after 2 seconds.

I'm able to record with x264 1080p60fps though..

Other scenario is that it just crashes the display driver.. Which is probably AMDs fault, since R9 390 seems to have a lot of display driver crash issues.

Same thing here, waiting for an update

I'm getting Encoder initialization failed on amd fury card.. Any ideas? I have the latest beta driver installed.

Lowering resolution helps but this is kinda ridiculous.. I mean my resolution is 1920x1200, it's not 4K or anything,,

PS Something is really strange

1920x1200 30 fps- Encoder initialization failed
1920x1200 60 fps- works OK

Everyone, please try the latest multiplatform version. Everything works there.

I've tried multiplatform version and it works ;)) However.. performance hit is quite noticeable compared to shadowplay. I get approximately -5\6 fps hit at 1920x1200 30 fps (I tried different encoder settings, didn't help much) When your fps is not much higher than 60, it's a lot. Any tips?

I tested it, at 1080p60fps I got a 50% fps hit in CS:GO and the recording was freezing a lot. It's probably because my card uses GCN 1.0. At 720p60fps the recording was fine, but I got a 30-40% fps drop. I probably could record at 1080p60fps if I was able to adjust the VCE settings to use the 'Speed' preset that is available in the old OBS.

Dota 2 periodically freezes in game, sound and mouse cursor work fine. Crysis, the stream will freeze for about 10-15 seconds then recover, no indication in the game. Path of Exile - OBS preview will freeze, requires alt-ctrl-del to show blue screen, not task manager, to unfreeze OBS. 0.653b amd vce HOST. Disabled D3D/OpenCL. I just lost my place 10 hours in on a 24 hour stream. great. back to 0 hours. fml.what moron puts the settings button right next to the stop streaming button.

edit: somehow poe lost mouse focus and closed obs fml again.

2015-10-03: [32bit] [64bit] : Update to v0.656b

@Matthew M. Dean Save as FLV, then you _should_ be able to play the recording later when driver/obs crashes.

Playclaw guy said on forum he's getting ~110fps at 1440x900 using AMF :-/ I must be doing something very wrong here then, heh.

(Without searching the thread) Has anyone noticed when OCing the GPU there's corruption in h264 stream?

I've been through the guides and tried multiple settings but I can't find any recording settings that give me decent quality without having a high encoding error or the recording stopping a couple seconds into it.

My specs are:
CPU: AMD A10 6800k
GPU: R9 270x
Ram: 8GB
