but im streaming with gpu not cpu so i think that this wont work
oh yes, GOP and IDR are the two. IDR is key frames in frames.

i.e. IDR of 60 with 30fps is keyframe interval 2.

EDIT: what I said here was true, it just wasn't the question that was asked. your question was about scene buffering, that will be set to 700ms in the advanced tab of OBS1.

Yeah scratch that, sorry, I got confused. just set scene buffering to 700ms in the advanced tab of OBS and leave it be.

if u make it on 44.1 khz mannualy it will work?

the audio format needs to match up with your windows playback device (your sound card).

44.1 is uncommon, 48khz is more common now.

anddd yeah with 48khz i have frame drops IN GAME
then use 44.1. that is probably what your soundcard is.

as for blurryness? set your base resolution to 1920x1080 (or whatever you play your game at) then downscale to the resolution you wish to stream at. 720p, 616p. use bilinear filtering instead of lanczos

Hi, I have followed the steps indicated in this post, tried searching on youtube and within these forums for a solution so please forgive me if I missed the solution.

I have installed the VCE version of OBS and my card is detected. I am using a r9 280x. I am using the default parameters for the AMD VCE encoder tab ( have tried both DX11 and host as my AMF engine type), Disable Aero unchecked, Use CBR checked, Use CFR checked, Open CL disabled and AMD AMF instead of OVE. I have made sure I had Raptr Gaming Evolved uninstalled.

The problem that I have is when I try to stream or record to a local file I only get audio. I am at a complete loss and any help about the direction I should look would be much appreciated!

Ah thanks, I have uploaded it here

*UPDATE: Thanks! I clicked on analyse and saw something I recently installed D3DGear was using the same hook. Uninstalled and now it's streaming! :D Now to get testing.

If Multiple GPUs, select the proper AMD GPU in the video tab. Note that switchable graphics (Intel+AMD) does not work with OBS, this is something with the design of switchable graphics that is flawed.

i tried to look through all 115 pages. can you still use amf to stream/record with a crossfire setup? and/or in a crossfire setup which card does the workload? i would assume no. specially in afr one card renders odd frames other does even frames. and in sfr one card does top half other card does lower half.

i am looking to add in another 290x but if that is the case might sell it and pick up a fury or something else.

a non amf question. can i use an old physx or nvidia card to do physx for the amd? since amds software version creates terrible fps
