Make sure you are in a game, the LoL lobby is a separate program that uses Adobe AIR.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is not working properly. When DX11 is disabled(usues DX9) it has a black screen.

Code:
D3D9 Present
DoD3D9GPUHook: success
DoD3D9GPUHook: success

And when DX11 is enabled it makes the game FPS very jittery and the game is very sluggish to play. The min and max FPS aren't that different but it changes so fast and that makes it feel very odd. Also OBS FPS rarely stays @60 it constantly goes down to 55. But it doesn't drop frames.

Code:
D3D11 Present

If I close the game (sc2) and start it again, how can I make OBS attach again with game capture? I'd like to avoid OBS restarts.

DX:HR works fantastic on my end, either way -- not entirely sure what's up there.. I think I may have left an issue in there or two causing that.

japi - ah yes, bug, thank you for reminding me, I neglected to write that one down and almost forgot about it

I installed the latest nvidia beta drivers and when I turned vsync on so the FPS of the game could not fluctuate it played nicely. so it's probably the performance of my machine. Can't handle streaming and gaming as smoothly as I want to at the same time.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you for creating this program.

When streaming Call of Duty 4, I was able to play it relatively smoothly in-game; however, the stream itself was horribly laggy as can be seen in the link attached.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

idontknow017 - there was a bug in test3 that caused way too many frames to drop when there were dropped frames -- sorry about that.

Thanks anyway. :)
It is still an awesome program with great potential.

It works fine, I did a test stream of TF2 at 120fps (thought it requires a hell of a lot of encoding power to do). Game capture is currently the only method of being able to capture at that fast of a rate though. Might work at some higher framerates with window capture as well, but probably not all the way up to 120 fps I'm betting. Wouldn't generally really recommend it for streaming though, requires too much power, and most people don't have 120hz monitors to actually see output past 60 fps.

Hey Jim, I tested the "OBS_0445a_capture_32bit_test7" version and it worked fantastically well!
I received absolutely no FPS lag in game and the stream was much more stable!
However, there was an issue where the video was still recording (which was noticeable by my higher than normal ping) but it was no longer streaming on my account, or at least did not appear on the VOD.
Hope you can get that fixed!
Many thanks.

EDIT: I did some more testing and the problem seems to be due to the stream delay (when the stream is showing what happened a while ago instead of 'right now') and as soon as I stop streaming, the stream doesn't continue up to the point I finish streaming.
For example, I am 10 minutes into playing and the stream is 8 minutes into my game. If I stop streaming now, the stream will stop at 8 minutes in as opposed to continuing for 2 more minutes.
I'm not sure if that's what's supposed to happen, as I am new to streaming, but if there is a workaround to this I'd really appreciate it. :D

This. 60 fps is quite an improvement in terms of smoothness over 30 fps. I've seen a few streams like this and it is easy for me to tell.

Where can I get that version?

Re: Need feedback on a new version of game capture - updated

I tried the test3 version and when i previewed the stream I got a BSOD code 0xA000000000001 (unsure of how many 0s). Restart, try again after I noticed it was the ATIdriver failing at the BSOD, downclocked my GPU to default and it worked. 3 minutes later the game froze for 1 second and the audio on my system stopped working. Trying test7 now...
UPDATE: Turns out my overclock went bad, it's stable so far on test7.

I apologize if this has been mentioned already but I've been having a problem with the send buffer on test7.

The selectable numbers of:
11680
5840
2920
1460

Are all causing me to drop frames, pretty consistently. The networking icon would blink yellow once and a while and I'd drop 30~ frames each time. I imagine that it is worse for me because of my low-end CPU than it is for other people, but I managed a work around of loading an older OBS that had 32768 so I could learn the number and put that into the field and I stopped dropping frames completely while still maintaining just a 4 second stream delay, which I consider to be as live as live can get when streaming video.

Again, I don't know if this was mentioned by anyone else. But with that said, amazing work on the game capture! It roars with my lack-luster CPU, it actually makes playing games while recording bearable.
