My OBS crashes as soon as I put a video in fullscreen

Hello, I do Twitch streams and YouTube videos, and I use OBS to stream or record my screen. I want to react to YouTube videos, but as soon as I put a video in fullscreen, OBS crashes. I’ve tried to figure out what’s causing the issue, but I can’t seem to find a solution.


For context, I have OBS Source Record installed to record my video sources separately, so I can then use them to make clips for Instagram and TikTok.


Could someone please help me?

Source record crashes obs when the source resolution changes. Source record in itself is very unstable and can be used on fixed resolution like your webcam.

My advice, either use 2 portable instances of obs. Main is for streaming, second is for webcam and third is for firefox. You will need to turn off windows privacy feature to allow multiple apps to use webcam at once.

Or stream at 2k and record 2k as well. This simplifies things significantly while giving you much higher quality recording too.
