Yeah, it was slightly lower but that test was the first run after the re-configuration. The numbers improved further on later tests after some adjustments were made.

Yea, but someone struggling with the whole concept of limited PCIe lanes and bandwidth impact when connecting NVMe drive, I figured the whole direct to CPU vs chipset distinction was a step too far (more confusing & generate questions, than lead to understanding)

My thinking was that from a impact, considerations, and mitigations of from connecting NVME drive in shared bandwidth slot with GPU, whether those slots direct to CPU or chipset really isn't relevant to this specific discussion.
