Help with sound (OBS fresh install)

So I installed obs but when i record the sound is distorted and has no "depth". Im pretty sure it has something to do with the ?audio mixer card? since i installed obs once and got it working but im not sure...

Realtek is not very good for audio. You are better off getting a USB audio interface.

If you still want to go the Realtek route, I would suggest updating your Windows 10 version first. Then, go to your laptop/motherboard manufacturer and download the current Realtek audio drivers.

You will also need to play around in the Windows sound control panel to choose the appropriate audio sampling rate for the audio devices you use along with matching that with the OBS Audio sampling rate. I would suggest just trying to get everything to work at 44100.
