Hey there!
I want to record video with h265 or AV1 and on the archwiki I read that intel-media-driver supports AV1 since tigerlake
wiki.archlinux.org
I am on Fedora 41, Kinoite, with the Fedora package of intel-media-driver. There is no alternative on rpmfusion which makes me think that the free package has at least AV1 support.
libva-intel-media-driver-24.4.4-1.fc41.x86_64
intel-mediasdk-23.2.2-6.fc41.x86_64
I am using OBS Flatpak from Flathub, but as video encoding options I only see h264, which is not really great.
Anyone know why that might be?
I dont have ffmpeg installed, only ffmpeg-free. But I have libavcodec-freeworld, which at least deals with the video decoding. Do I need ffmpeg-full for h265 encoding?
But still, AV1 is free, so shouldnt that be supported?
