Browser Source Issues After Windows 11 Installation

Hi everyone! Hoping for some guidance here. Tried some searching beforehand, but any other suggested solutions yielded no results for me.

I recently reformatted my PC and installed Windows 11 to get ahead of the October EOL date for Windows 10. I backed up all of my OBS settings in advance, and restored them back into place when my installation was complete. Ever since, I've noticed the following two issues with browser sources:
  1. Browser sources feel slower to load.
    1. Timed it, 15 seconds average upon cache refresh or loading a new scene collection.
    2. When I was still on Windows 10, it took maybe 5 seconds to load, total.
  2. Custom font settings will not be detected in the browser output.
    1. For example, I'll use the font "Harrington" for certain title cards. That font is no longer populating correctly and is instead replaced with a more basic font.
    2. I have confirmed I have installed the fonts for "all users".
    3. The fonts do show up on StreamElements appropriately, and do appear correctly when I load the source in my web browser.
    4. Workaround: I may change the font I use anyway, but in the meantime, I've just created a text box that has the font I want to use in the same spot/same dimensions as the StreamElements version, and temporarily have hidden the StreamElements version of that font from the overlay. This isn't ideal as I have to make this adjustment on any scene I use this overlay on.
For good measure, I also did try completely reinstalling OBS and deleting everything from appdata\roaming\obs-studio, then reimporting my scenes later. No change.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I'm not sure how helpful it is, but my OBS logs are attached. Thanks in advance!

Actually, I think I'm in good shape now. Modmins feel free to delete the parent post here.
I believe that the font that I installed for Harrington was different than the one that StreamElements was pulling through. Other custom fonts pulled in just fine. I will continue to troubleshoot on my end.
Would still like to see if anyone else is experiencing the slow loading of the browser sources, but as long as I remember to load OBS before going live it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Hey Serenalis,

I actually have exactly the same font problem with UNI SANS HEAVY CAPS. It worked beforehand. But now after reinstalling Windows 11 and downloading OBS again the font from my stream elements overlay is no longer recognized from the browsersource in the preview in OBS. It however does work for text labels I've created directly in OBS.

I had windows 11 running with OBS beforehand without any issues. Unfortunately I don't know which version of OBS I was running

I'm very curious to know if you have already found a solution for that one yet?

Hi WarpingWombat!
Unfortunately no, the issue still persisted with browser sources specifically. I imagine the font label from the browser sources might be different than the one for the locally installed font, but I'm not 100% on that. I ended up just building the fonts I wanted to use as images in Krita and saving them all to my scenes as necessary.

I found out that my fonts were also not working locally. It seemed like it but that was only OBS caching the fonts from the imported scenes. If you edit the text labels and try to select the font again it would no longer work as well. I could select the font but it wouldn't take any effect. So it seems its a problem with that font and OBS. Other fonts seem to work.

Test out and see if its the same for you if you want. Unfortunately I still have no solution for this other than using a different font.. I don't know why OBS behaves like that since streamelements uses the font without any problem. Its just OBS not accepting the font neither as direct or through an imported browser source
