Always no Audio after Internet lost Connection

Does anyone know if the problem still occurs? I deactivated the disconnect protection setting on Twitch a while ago since this bug, so I can't say if there was any progress in this. I kinda doubt it was fixed, but you never know.
We have discussed this problem on github and the conclusion is that Twitch VOD track option is to blame. So it's on Twtich's side. Without Twitch VOD track option enabled there is always a working audio after reconnecting.

I have open a Ticket too Twitch and the answer was: No Support for 3th Party software.
I tried the orignal twitch software with VOD track and the reconect works!
Unfortunately I find the Twitch software inconvenient and it doesn't support NDI.
So i hope the devolopers of OBS can find a solution.

I use a VOD track and encountered this problem after turning on the disconnect protection feature yesterday. I was hoping to avoid having my stream restart (and split the VOD into multiple videos) every time my internet blips and OBS has to be rebooted. Good to know that it's a Twitch problem, at least.

As other people have pointed out, the bug seems to be due to the VOD track. You can confirm it by checking your stream which is missing the audio but if you check the same part of the stream in your VODs, OBS is actually transmitting audio. So the mainstream audio is not being received properly by twitch after a disconnect. I still don't know if it is an OBS problem or a twitch problem because as other user pointed out, the VOD track is working fine with twitch software. For now the only solution seems to be to not use the separate VOD track and play DMCA free music for now. Unless you want to use twitch's software.

I have the same problem, only the disconnect to Twitch happens when I launch VPN split-tunneling to play a game in a specific region. The Twitch disconnect stream buffer appears, and when OBS reconnects, there is no audio being heard through the Twitch client, even though audio is registering in OBS. I too use the VOD track.

Also have the same problem. I use stream safe music but like the option to separate for vods because it means people can choose their own. Would really love to see this fixed, as another user pointed out: VODs on Twitch still have audio, my OBS recordings still have audio, but the live show does not until I completely restart the stream, which is very frustrating if the internet has a momentary drop.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this. This problem is even more important now that Twitch automatically disable VODs with copyrighted music.

Is this an issue with the software OBS or Twitch I wonder ?

Anyone still having this problem? It's just started for me.
Yep, happened to me just the other day. People were saying it was a problem with streaming on WiFi, but it happened to me on Ethernet like two days ago. Had to end and restart stream to have sound again.

but you enabled vod-audio yes?
Because this is causing it on disconnect :) Sure before i had never ever any problems. But if you deal with a disconnected, there is a chance that only vod line reconnects but not your stream audio. Just do a test :) if this happen again, create a clip of just whatch your vod afterwards ^^

the easiest way would be to disable vod audio line - BUT i dont want to deal with this DMA stuff on VOD audio lines... so thats why i am using it for what it was made :) i disable the music on VOD line but keep it in steam line. And that is part of the Problem ^^

I also keep on getting this error also, OBS just went NONO going to disconnect then it came back, and all sound has gone....

Is anyone able to get a fix or an answer to this error? Also, VOD track to disable does really work?
