Question / Help 9900k dropping 40% frames in OBS

My friend and I just received our 9900k this week and are hitting but roadblocks. I’ve noticed the base clock speed is 3.6 but it wants to run at a constant 4.7. I dropped the multiplier so that it tops out at 4.2 and that has seeems to help the cpu usage/temp but I thought the processor could handle this? If I maintain it at ‘default’ it never drops below 4.7.Currently using an NZXT kraken 62 to cool this.

Second big issues, I cannot stream. It drops between 30-50% of my frames in stream. I just upgraded from the 8700k where I stream 8 hours a day 7 days a week and have NEVER had an issue. Panic is setting in a little, could really use some help please.

1st -- Required reading if you're looking that far into clock speeds. TL;DR the 4.7Ghz your cpu is running at is the standard turbo clock for 3-4 thread operation, and is 100% expected and normal. If you're seeing cpu temps >85c, then check your cooler.

2nd -- post a log of a stream/recording attempt. We have no idea what's happening with your missing frames without it.
