Good Plugin to use when recording gameplay and face cam as different sources in different quality settings with different bitrates to conserve disk space. However, my only complaint is that it sometimes crashes on startup or crashes on just turning off the webcam. Other than that, great plugin.
I'm glad the creator fixed the bugs that version 0.3.2 had, version 0.3.4 hasn't crashed once and hasn't had any stability issues or recording errors if properly configured.

Maybe you could give some recommendations, like making the camera recording stop when you pause a recording in OBS, that would make post-production work easier since the video would be synchronized at all times, camera and content.

I don't know what the cause is, but in OBS when I start recording for 2 or 3 seconds it says "overload when encoding, consider lowering video settings" and then it stabilizes, this isn't annoying or generates errors, but it does cause the camera source to record after the message passes, so you have to wait a few seconds before starting to speak; and square the camera with the content by the 2 to 5 second offset (this is the maximum that I have ever had), this would help a lot in post-production.

These are minor details but they can be polished for a better plugin.
This has made my life a lot easier since having two OBSes takes a lot of CPU. It works very well except for that it doesn't split recordings like the main OBS (Which I also have to use if I want to record other tracks)

The weird thing is exactly once it split files like OBS did and I have no idea what changed for that. Also: make sure you're not lazy and leave lower layers that you record alternate raw sources visible... twice the files just one is black screen LOL

I think if the plugin could record multiple tracks and could split files it'd be perfect (smaller files are easier to transcode/edit if you're curious why I don't want 1-5 hour videos) very happy with this plugin so far tho.

The only real solution right now is to remember to stop/start record, but I have terrible memory XDDD
Firstly want to say thanks to Exeldro for making this plugin. It has been very useful despite it's caveats.

I have found a solution for those who have latency problems between recordings.

Firstly, identify which sources that have the latencies by doing a test recording.

Once you have identified the sources, add a render delay of 60 milliseconds (ms) before the source record filter.

Whilst the sources will still have skipped frames (a little bit of the time being cut off the master-feed), it should now be in sync.

This plugin does cause quite a few crashes, but it happens less when I've added a "-disable-shutdown-check" parameter on my OBS shortcut.

Unfortunately Exeldro has said himself that to rectify these problems he would need to redesign the whole project, which I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't do it.

So hope this fix is a good one and helps people with their projects!
Seria bom se você pudesse colocar a função de divisão por tempo como uma opção na próxima atualização, desde já ótimo plugin.
1. Could the plugin not overwrite files? (number filenames like OBS)
2. Where can I find saved replays from the source?

For me, the idea is brilliant.
Sometimes OBS crashes when I close it.
PLEASE UPDATE description of the plug-in where it says that minimum OBS version is 26. From 0.3.1 and newer versions of plug-in the OBS lower than 28 / 29 version will NOT WORK. (you can check required version in updates section of plug-in page)
Just friendly reminder
NVIDIA NVENC HEVC with profile main10 (HDR) doesn't work when trying to record webcam and gameplay separately. Sometimes OBS crashes. For that to work, need to use x264 but no HDR.
Very useful plugin. Thanks.
On OBS v28 PC version the filter appears on the sources, but on MAC version (I have M1 max, so ARM64) no filter shows in the list after I install it... Is Mac ARM64 not available yet?
I have been using 28.0.1 Beta, It is oddly that When asking screen recording, only 8-bit out is allowed whatever I have instructed via ffmpeg options. I have tried different options such as record direcly, I have read it is 10-bit out.
I dont know why it doesnt work for most people, it works amazingly for me, I don't need audio since I'm already recording that separately so i just capture my camera, and also the only thing that i don't like about it is that i can't use the new nvenc encoder but apart from that, its perfect for me!
A very good plugin idea. So far no bugs and it works. The file size of the recording however is pretty large. I wish that there is an option to downscale the resolution of the recording.
Is a great and useful plugin when it works, yet sometimes using source record on my facecam will only have 1 file saved, (expecting the regular recording and facecam source record) and it will sometimes be corrupted.
So as Sopel already said, I to like this plugin and I'm experiencing the same issue.
A while back I tested this feature to record multiple sources/scenes until it stopped working.
Anny help?
i really like this plugin, it used to work pretty well, now it isnt, for some reason its recording only the source record scene and anything else, it used to record 2 scenes but now when my pc has been restarted it doesnt work, does someone know why does that happen?
This is great, my only issue remains to be the fact that its really finicky at the start and I still cannot get it to fully work unfortunately.

The concept of recording sources is absolutely amazing for video editors and streamers, it essentially allows for you to have your cake (stream) and eat it to (remove the overlay and use it for videos).

Currently my main issue is that audio recorded is very glitchy and stutters consistently which means that this plugin just isn't personally viable but if you can get this working, it is great.

Best of luck, this is really good when it works.
Works really well until it suddenly doesn't. These are my problems with it:
- No support for muxer settings, so I can't set "movflags=+frag_keyframe+empty_moov" like in OBS itself.
- Resolution switches in sources is not handled properly, if at all.
- Audio often just doesn't work even with the provided steps.
- Does not prevent itself from writing to the exact same file it may already be writing to.
- Does not apply defaults from an encoder to the UI, which results in horribly broken default settings.
I am using version 0.2.6 now, but it has a problem!
OBS will not open if the plug-in is not closed after each use.
I must manually find the plug-in path and delete it.
OBS can run normally.
First off i would like to say thankyou for this plugin!

After doing some testing I would like to make a suggestion to pause the source recording when you pause the recording "Main", If the normal recording is paused the source recording keeps going in which can make de-syncing issues but overall thankyou for this plugin! hopefully you can integrate it into the main OBS Studio.
this is the only (working) solution i found on internet to record seperated sources... excelent job... PLEASE, GIVE SUPPORT FOR PRISM LIVE
