Bug Report Won't show stream thumbnail on Twitch

okay, I uploaded test5. I discovered some more CTS weirdness that still happened in test4, would cause ffmpeg to fail on the first few frames, which probably did the same for twitch, and it probably rejected it. here is the new version that fixes that: http://sourceforge.net/projects/obsproj ... p/download

let me know if test 5 does or does not work. you should see "test 5" in the title bar (just for the sake of not confusing different versions)
 
ah, good. I had a feeling that transcoding was the problem. glad to hear it's fixed.
 
First in-stream thumbnail was created correctly. I'm dropping noise into the stream to increase the bitrate and see if that affects anything.
 
bensam - wasn't the original issue that the thumbnails weren't being created at all? see in the examples people were showing, it had a literal "thumbnail missing" sort of image instead of black.
 
Yeah, from version .448 to beta4 they changed from the "grey ?" to a black rectangle for me. Mentioned that a few posts back. I guess mines black so the grey image was fixed between .448a and beta4 for me, but now it's just a black thumbnail.

I believe you have a different issue than the missing thumnail problem
 
I thought this all related to eachother? I did have the grey thumbnail in .448a, when I upgraded to test4 it turned into a black thumbnail now. I apologize if that confused people, I mentioned it a few posts back though. I'm currently streaming and you can see for yourself. My stream works fine otherwise though.

No one else is getting a black thumbnail in test 4 or 5?
 
Solid grey thumbnails historically have been a bframe issue, not sure why it would turn black though

okay then, guess it's not fixed. might have to ask someone at twitch about it.
 
Alright, somewhere after 6am my thumbnail started updating and it's no longer black. I don't know what did it, but after OBS stopped streaming at the 3h~ line and it reconnected the thumbnail fixed itself. I don't know if it's fixed for good or not, I'll check it out again when I stream tonight.
 
I tried it a few times again. Still working without any issues for me.

EDIT: Okay it's still showing a thumbnail but it's not updating anymore.
 
Tried downloading number 5 test build.
Now i can't run game in Game Screen mode for some reason, streams a black window;p

P.S With normal build 64bit launcher i get same, Black Screen, but in 5 test there is no option to choose 32 or 64 bit client
