I'm trying to capture a VHS with OBS using Elgato Video Capture Device, but neither "Analog Audio in" or "Line" are working/playing in OBS.

Is another application using this device? Is the Elgato software running, for instance?

Nothing else is using the device, and yeah, Elgato is running.

Video device drivers are usually exclusive. You can't run Elgato's software and OBS, it's one or the other.

Audio drivers in Windows 10 are usually exclusive by default; if you haven't already you can try turning that off.

By elgato running I thought you meant the actual elgato capture device, not the elgato software. No, the elgato software is not running. My mistake.

The lines in the logfile indicate that OBS cannot access the selected capture device, either due to insufficient permissions, or because some other app or driver is accessing it.

Make sure OBS has permissions for the device, try running as administrator, make sure you only have one version of the camera source in your setup, make sure nothing else is running that is or could access the device.
