Video Capture Device Black Screen + No Sound

I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. I've deleted every setting and scene. I have run the program as an administrator. Nothing has worked thus far, and on top of a completely black screen, I also have absolutely no sound. I am using an off-brand Amazon capture card and have not had a single problem with streaming until a few nights ago when my sound stopped coming through and today my image is completely black. None of the videos online have worked thus far to tell me how to fix this issue. If anyone has any tips or solutions I'd be grateful.

When streaming/recording, you have to say on top of your "car" with regular scheduled maintenance.
When things go bad:

Update to latest versions in this order:
  • Windows
  • GPU drivers
  • Capture card drivers
  • OBS Studio in that order
  • Reboot

Baseline your audio to 44100Hz:

Set this to 44100 Hz in the audio device driver via Windows Sound control panel:
20:35:53.893: WASAPI: Device 'Speakers / Headphones (Realtek Audio)' [48000 Hz] initialized

Set this to 44100 Hz and make sure OBS Audio sampling rate is 44.1 khz
20:36:01.045: WASAPI: Device 'Digital Audio Interface (2- USB Digital Audio)' [96000 Hz] initialized <--- no need to sample at 96000
