Question / Help (Recording Only) Can't maintain a constant 60fps regardless of graphic settings/game

As the title says, I can't manage to maintain a constant 60fps regardless of the game I play or the graphic settings I choose. The frame drops are usually quite subtle but I'd like to iron this out as it's quite frustrating to deal with.

I'm not sure how important it is but It might be worth mentioning that I get the same results whether I record in 59.94fps or 60fps

I've attached my log file, my footage (in this case, Cuphead footage) and additional footage for comparison.

First DVR to OFF, second why don't use NVENC for encoding?
Thanks, I appreciate the help! Turning off DVR as well as all of the other Windows 10 gaming features has helped quite a bit but unfortunately hasn't fixed the problem entirely. I am also using NVENC for encoding.

Are there many other processes which might affect OBS' performance?

Test with NVENC encoder set at "Quality" preset, CQP 18, "psycho visual tuning" and "lookahead" disabled.

If it works, test again with CQP 16. If it's still without any issues, test again with "Psycho Visual Tuning" turned on.

Thanks! So far setting CQP to 16 and enabling psycho visual tuning has yielded the best results, but it is still somewhat inconsistent. There are still moments of frame drops where the footage looks closer to 30fps than 60fps.

I recently upgraded my computer with a ryzen 7 3800x and a Samsung 970 EVO plus NVME SSD, as well as performing a clean install on my new SSD. However, I am still experiencing this problem. At this point I'm not sure what else it could be.

this sounds for me more like a problem with the game fps
if there spiking from 120 to 300 and from 300 to 80
try use vsync ingame if thats erase your "issue" try fix the framerate at your prefered target

Unfortunately that wasn't the case. However, I decided to test software encoding now that I have a much better cpu and it seems to have solved my issue so far but I will continue testing just in case. Is there anything I should know about NVENC when it comes to local recording or frame rate in general? My graphics card is an RTX 2080 Ti so it's surprising to see how much better software encoding is so far.
