I have the same problem as AndreasAdler: when I try to create a PTZ camera with Pelco P or D under Tools/PTZ devices and click apply, OBS crashes. I get the following error in the log file:

Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (6.3.1) with this library (6.6.3)

I am using OBS 31.0.0 and PTZ controls v0.15.4.

Hello all,

It seems to me that glikely is not very responsive at the moment. I really hope he is all right .....

In the meantime, the code, or build level of this project really deserves an update so

1. it can be used with the newest OBS
2. the ONVIF options become part of the main code base.

Any volunteers around ??
Or any ideas how to put this on the OBS agenda ?

Hello, try remapping the buttons with this program:
I tried remapping my Apem joystick using this software, and it seems to work fine in Windows and games. However, I cannot get OBS and PTZ-control to recognize the inputs from my emulated 360 controller. The emulated 360 controller appears, and I can activate it, but when I move it, nothing happens. It still works fine with my Apem controller when using it directly.

Any thoughts on why this might be happening? I’d love to be able to use my Apem USB joystick instead of an Xbox controller.

When i look at the Apem RS USB joystick in windows it appear like this. So X /Y works fine for pan and tilt the camera. But PTZ controller do not recognize inputs from the Z-axis. Could this be easy fix in the plugin maybe? For us the best way would be to be able to use the Apem RS joystick directly. This is the controller: https://www.conrad.se/sv/p/apem-100350-joystick-vred-usb-1-st-1197319.html

Hello, I am providing a link, with a PTZ folder, download the PTZOptics PTZ Controller 1.4.1 program. In multi cameras setting place your IP or USB camera. Then in additional input setting select your control, and in the program select the slot that added the camera. After that, it's ready to work.

This program works simultaneously with obs.

I recently upgrade my PTZ plugin and it seems to have added a momentum like attribute to moving a camera from the direction controls. It speeds up the longer I hold down a direction button and then coasts after I let go. Is there any way to turn this off? It's really annoying with our camera setup.

Thanks, I have tried this,. but it only works with PTZ-optics cameras or similar it seems. When I try with my Newtek camera it does not work :/

I need to do a clean OBS install, after which I will reinstall your PTZ control plugin. Is there any way to export/import the camera settings and preset names so that I don't need to recreate all that from scratch. Thanks in advance

I have the latest version of OBS and a fresh install of obs. I installed the PT Z control plug-in. I can see the PTZ control in OBS when I select the Dock > PTZ control. I add the first camera go to the control and i am able to control the camera. I add a second camera and the camera add dialog box hangs with a "not responding" at the top of the dialog box. This eventually puts all of OBS in a "not responding" mode and the only way to get out of it is to end the program. When OBS is brought up again I loose any cameras I have added to PTZ control. I can add all three cameras to the "sources" box and I can see the cameras good. I have looked through the forum but could not find any references to this. Thanks for your help

First, thanks for a great plugin, cheers!

Install friction report:
I am using OBS 30.0.2.1-3build1 from the Ubuntu (24.04) debian package. I installed the obs-ptz deb package from github ( obs-ptz-0.15.4-linux-x86_64.deb ) and it installed without issues (Yey!).

But the PTZ plugin would not appear in the dock menu when I opened obs. I traced the issue down to the dependency on libqt6serialport6 by reading the startup error messages. A simple “sudo apt install libqt6serialport6” fixed my issue.

However, it would have been nice if the debian install file had indicated that libqt6serialport6 was a dependency in the Depends: line on the DEBIAN/control file, so that I wouldn't have to figure that out myself by peering over startup error messages.

Since I'm using it for IP VESCA control, I didn't really need serial port access, so it would also be cool if the plugin would load without the serial port module and work for IP cameras, but display a dependency pop-up if the user tried to configure a serial port camera. (But just listing qt6serialport as a dependency would be much easier.)

I have been using OBS Studio and PTZ Controls v0.15.4 controlling our FoMoKo camera for sometime on a Windows 10 machine with no issues. It has performed brilliantly. Have replaced the older PC with a HP i5 computer running Windows 11, all seemed to be working perfectly but then unexpectedly we lost control of the camera, it was locked on the preset and unable to change preset nor adjust using the directional controls. Had to close and restart OBS to regain control. Any advice on how to refresh/reset the control with out restarting OBS (which would affect our FB Live event). Thanks

I have a question about the camera movement control behaviors in recent versions.

We are using this plugin to drive two PTZ cameras. We have keyboard bindings set up to control the directional pad (ASWD cluster) After updating the plugin to the most current version (v0.15.4) I noticed that my camera moves now start out slow and speed up the longer I hold a key down. And then when I release the key, they continue to move after I let go like they have momentum. Can I turn this off some how? I can't find anything in the camera configuration dialog.

Further to my original post today the Windows 11 machine was displaying over 1 minute lag time, not only the audio/video but also the PTZ actions. Reminded me of the old days when live broadcast were delayed to allow "beeping" inadvertent profanity (not a problem we experience in our Church). Our MS Surface did not display the same lag so wondering if anyone else has had issues with Windows 11?
