(Poor Recording Audio Issue)

The reason why I'm posting on here is because I've looked everywhere and I've tried everything lol. Every time I record any game the ambience audio like wild life, footsteps, gunshots, pretty much any kind of audio that is not a character speaking or any kind of dialogue sound clear but the rest is both too low and sounds distorted. I haven't made any impactful or significant changes to my Audio settings apart from the basic things a YouTube video would tell you to change. Im using a Elgato HD60 X capture card connected to an Xbox series X and a Mac book pro laptop. Any amount of help and information will be heavily appreciated as I have no idea what to do anymore. Haven't posted anything on YouTube due to this issue with is the only thing in my way. to whom it may concern have a nice day.

You have a Noise Suppressor somewhere. Get rid of it.

Noise Suppression is designed for spoken voice only. Everything else is considered noise to be removed. It's meant for conferences and phone calls, where the acoustic environment is completely uncontrolled and you want to be understood anyway. Beyond that, it hurts.

I've also seen people slap it on for a church service, either as a matter of course or because they had a ground-loop buzz or whatever, and then wondered what happened to the instruments when they sing...
