OBS Studio (Tytan652) hangs indefinitely after selecting Pipewire window capture

Not sure which repo to open an issue on so if anyone has a clue as to what exactly is causing this I would appreciate any help.

after this point, the program hangs and will not close unless forcefully terminated.

Strangely, when running OBS through the KDE applications menu, I'm not even able to get to the screen capture selector, it hangs immediately, even in Safe Mode. running through console is the only way for OBS to 'run' at all.
