OBS Startup Crash after Windows Update

Hi! Please help, I'm a bit desperate... OBS starts for about 3 seconds then crashes, and I can't do much about it.

I recently (yesterday/today) installed a few Windows updates, including:
  • Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - v5.99 (KB890830)
  • 2022-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5011493)
  • 2022-03 Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057)
My GeForce driver version is: 511.79

I recently struggled to install and work with an Elgato CamLink 4K which ended up freezing in OBS about 2 weeks ago, haven't plugged it in until today.

I've attached the latest Crash log and startup log.

I have several questions, but as per this thread, the most important one is: how do I fix this? How do I get it working again? I really need to record a few videos and right now OBS was my only means of doing that.

Standard procedute
1. update all drivers from the manufacture homepage



2. Update Bios ( on AMD SYSTEMS please stay Up2date)



3. check you ram with memtest

4. Check you windows files

Start CMD as Admin

type in

dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

when finished

sfc /scannow


for the problem with the camlink

conect it and send a screenshot of this programm

Thanks, I am now attempting to pass through all the steps detailed above, will get back with some feedback once I get it over with.

It crashed in a dll that is a driver installed in a directory "FUJIFILM X webcam". Updating that driver or just removing the driver for the Windows default driver to kick in would probably help.

Thank you! It did indeed work to uninstall Fuji's failed software (which can't be updated since it's latest version is from February 2020). So I can open OBS now.

Still left with the issue regarding the CamLink 4K freezing the image or just not working, any clues on what to try to solve that?

Excellent, thanks for the insight! I found some similar information but wasn't sure how to act upon it, since I can't tell the USB root distribution without using a tool such as USB Device Tree Viewer. Installing it now, will be back with the verdict ASAP.
