Hello, My obs crashing after i press exit. OBS not crashing, while im streaming. But when i press exit, it crashes. I cannot figure it out. Can u help me what causes this?(plugin source?) Thanks.
OBS gives crash when closing..

The move transition plugin is what is crashing in these logs.

I have the same problem, I just did the new update and since then every time I close obs it crashes...

Just came into my church started OBS did the upgrade and now it crashes and won't run . If I run in safe mode it won't run the current settings as its a blank screen ! Just rebuilt the whole db due to another issue a while back .

Remove the OBS Studio folder under C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming and its like a brand new install asking how to connect for streaming choices . Somehow something in that folder and there is quite a bit , is either corrupted or incompatible with the upgrade ! Lots of files tagged as 12/8/2024 ! Now I need to figure out if I can rebuild this or find the issue. Once removed when you restart it creates a new obs studio folder

Actually I would prefer not to have to reconfigure everything, I don't even remember half of my configs... Anyway if I understood correctly we can still use it for streaming right? It's just that it crashes when we close it? (I haven't tried to do live for the moment since this bug)

Looks like the easiest , maybe not the best solution but the quickest is to just rebuild the database , scenes etc. as I have it up and running except for my PTZ camera plug in tool which I forget how to install ! Hopefully the scenes cameras database does NOT get corrupted again ...

Yes You can as mine crashed on opening after the latest upgrade this am . ugh ..... It gave me an oops msg after the upgrade and I lost it all ... Using black magic design software app as a back up I was able to start the stream only I cannot move my cameras around to different scenes - only switch form cam 1 to cam 2

Ok so I'll wait for the devs to fix the problem, is this the first time this kind of problem has happened on obs? (I'm new, I've only been streaming for 2 months ^^), do the devs come to this forum and are therefore aware of the situation?

Just reloaded the PTZ files and it seems to accept the 2 folders data and obs-plugins

Well first of all welcome ! Yea someone may come back with an answer but at least we know the cause but not the root . They sometimes do as this may be an issue that draws their attention . Lets hope so ! Stinks having to do this as OBS is usually pretty solid in that respect .

This would not be something to fix on the OBS side of things, this is your streamlabs plugin crashing.

I'm using portable version.. I have too much plugin and too many setting for everything...
same here.. :(
im using nested scene :(
i think there is no solution for this problem i have.. thank god obs not crashing while im streaming. Just when i press exit, crashes..

Crash when exit is due to a plugin. Make sure the plugins are updated and compatible with the version of OBS you're using.

@PiaSand & PRGMitchell : Interesting thing is that when I rebuilt after updating to the latest code update pushed , (Oops error and it would not start as I have the logs saved ) I was able to use the old plug in on the newly updated OBS Studio, added in the existing older ptz app /plug in and restored the camera functions as well after rebuilding. So its odd that then update crashed my existing application but after a rebuild with the same code , it now works ! Rebooted the local pc and OBS studio starts without crashing ( See details above )

News: I tested the stream right there and there is actually a big problem: not only does it crash when I close it but also my game window is simply no longer streaming and that on the other hand it doesn't seem to me that it is a plug-in, suddenly now I can't stream at all until the problem is fixed?
