OBS Desktop Audio capturing audio at full volume when using certain device even when muted from Windows

Hey all, so I've ran into some trouble with OBS.

Basically, I have two devices I can play sound out of: my Razer USB Headset, which has its own dongle and driver it runs out of, and my Speakers, which are connected to my motherboard's 3.5mm jack.
When using my headset, OBS works as it always has, whenever I turn the sound down through the Windows mixer, it will turn down in OBS as well.
However, I recently found out that if I use my speakers, no matter how low I turn the volume in the mixer, OBS keeps capturing it at maximum, which is a problem, cause I rely on the Windows mixer a lot to control the volume in OBS.
Problem is, that for the time being, I'm kinda forced to use the speakers with the 3.5mm jack from the headset that normally plugs into the Razer dongle, plugged into the headphone jack of the speakers, because I've been starting to get these weird sound crackles and pops lately, which I suspect are because of something faulty in the dongle, as they don't happen at all when I plug the headset into the speakers.

Here's a video I recorded so you guys can see exactly what is happening: https://youtu.be/AE8qOdTFnkM

Anybody else having this problem, and got a fix for it? It would be much appreciated, thank you!

This isn't anything controlled in OBS, it is entirely dependent on the device, its drivers, and how Windows manages the audio for it. What you have described is normal for some devices, for instance my speakers work the same way.
